Fred's name may be on a buried at sea memorial in Crescent City (Del Norte County), if there is one. You could call Crescent City Town Hall to check. The next time I go to Trinidad (Humboldt County), I will check to see if his name is on any of the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse plaques. God bless you, too! Kind regards, Bridey Light

Dear WildBill: I have a good friend who also goes by that name! And it REALLY suits him!
On your photograph request for Fred Iran Grover, his memorial now has been changed to just reflect that he was buried at sea, and not at Ocean View Cemetery in Eureka, Humboldt County, California. Assuming he was cremated, I don't know whether there is a crematory in Crescent City, so his death record may reflect the fact that he was cremated in Eureka at Ocean View. But you would need his death certificate to verify that, and, if you wished to have a copy, I think you could check with the Del Norte County offices. Would you kindly remove your photograph request?
Since Fred died in Crescent City, Del Norte County, it is most probable that whomever took his ashes (assuming he was cremated) to sea would have left from the Crescent City harbor. That harbor has recently been rebuilt since the tsunami after the Japanese incident at Fukushima. I think there are any number of sport boats or commercial vessels who would be happy to take you offshore at some time if you wished to see the area where his ashes may have been taken. But his being buried at sea offshore from Crescent City is just a guess on my part. Kind regards, Bridey Light

I've noticed your name show up on several of my ancestors' pages, so I'm guessing we're distantly related! I'm particularly curious about your connection to the Brundage family; I saw that you noted Albert T. Brundage (my 3rd great grandfather) as your 1st cousin 3x removed. I'd definitely love to learn anything you might know about this particular branch of the family, and of course would be willing to share my information in return. Feel free to email tctill @ msn.com if you'd like. Have a great day!

Very easy...go to the MAYFLOWER SOCIETY website. Just GOOGLE it. And you can also GOOGLE Mayflower Society for the State you live in. You'll find lots of fun information and facts. I'm planning a trip to Plymouth in September...so excited to see all the Pilgrim sites.

Have you joined the Mayflower Society? You can if you have documentation to prove you are BLOOD related to Wm Bradford. I've done it. I'm related to TWO original Mayflower pilgrims. Carole
