I want to thank you for posting my father's grave up, but I have to admit that I don't understand why you did. Please don't get me wrong as I said I am grateful, just confused as to why and how you even found him. Please let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks for the transfer; I always appreciate all you do for Find A Grave.

Thank You Mike, I do not have any actual documentation to support who Henry "Hal" Guffey's father is. I've used the book by Joseph Guffey as my guide. He was so passionate about his research and his documentation with his research. Since we may never have that actual piece of paper that can give us a definite link, perhaps one day a DNA test will be able fill in all the question marks for us.

Hello omikeo, I was looking at the memorial for Joshua D Guffey 1811-1901, memorial number 47434995. In this memorial it states that Alexander Govouch McGuffey 1681-1769, had a son James 1707-1769, who had a son James Guffey 1734-1786 who had Henry Hal Guffey 1771-1876. I have the book by Alvin Joseph Guffey stating that Henry Hal Guffey's father was Ephraim Guffey and his wife Nancy. Do you have any documents that support Henry "Hal" Guffey being the son of James Guffey 1734-1786? I did find a Virginia Land record for Alexander Govouck McGuffy where he left land to James but I've not found any documentation to support who Henry "Hal" Guffey's real father is. Any help you could give me to support exactly who Henry "Hal" Guffey's father really is would be much appreciated

I communicated with you about a Confederate soldier you had listed as buried at Fort Donelson National Cemetery, Dover, TN. I forget the soldier's name, and would like to do a bit of research on him while my husband and I are assigned here at Fort Donelson, if this is ok with you.
Please contact me directly at: Debit1351@gmail.com with the Confederate soldier's name & unit, you said he was from Mississippi, and my husband and I will see if we can get a better understanding of where his unit was and possibly get pictures of where he may have fallen.

Thanks for all the hard lifting you do out there for the memory of our ancestors. Just wondering why you thought Joseph Tillman's middle name might be Typhus. Any chance you might have seen that written anywhere. I was told his middle name was Thomas but no proof other than this person said they had seen tax record to suggest as much.
Also the division designation on his tombstone is wrong. He was definitely part of the Mounted Rifles of Arkansas. One of our early family genealogist got that one wrong.
If you find a minute to get back please do and be well.

Thanks Mike. My line is through Ashworth W McBrayer. I knew about the memorial placed there by the Leathers family but I'm not sure he was actually buried there since he died in Coosa County, Alabama. Btw..I live in Arkansas as well.
