|Scott||RE: Memorial # 141911750|
Sorry I am not related directly to Willard. I am connected to him through his marriage to Emma W. Brooks Davis. Willard was her second husband.
I am connected to Emma through her third and final marriage. This time to Daniel Huffman Davis. I am related to Daniel.
Sorry I can not be of much help, though there may still be a connection between us as I believe there are a couple of Perkins' in my family tree.

Thanks, that would be great. I'm just a distant cousin, but I am researching & linking the entire family, so there will be many more edits.

I have her obit, but will you post it as an bio on her memorial. thanks
Thanks for this memorial of my high school classmate. I have posted her Sr. year photo. I am wondering if by some chance you are kin to her. I see on her page that her siblings and father are there. Looking for an obit if you have one. It is our 50th year class reunion and I use the memorial to make a pamphlet for all of the ones that have passed and all of them as of this date have an obit. Hope to hear from you. thanks East Bank High 1965 class.

Dotson-Simpson aka Kesler Cross Lanes Cemetery is a meaningful one for me. The location of my great grandparents' graves was a mystery to the family. They had been buried on the family farm, but a descendent had them removed. We did not know where they were re-interred. After a a few weeks of research, I narrowed down the likely places they might have been moved to and one of those places was Dotson-Simpson. I eventually found their headstones there, and also the graves of my great grandmother's parents. None of them were documented in any source, so they were all great surprises.
So, the research I did looking for my great grandparents meant that I turned up several sources of info documenting who was buried at the original Dotson, Simpson, Neff, Bailes, and Kesler Cross Lanes Cemeteries. Many, if not most, of the interments occurred as small cemeteries were moved as the Summersville Lake was being built close by. As I found burials not documented on Find A Grave, I created the memorials, hoping to help others since I was searching for my ancestors in that area. I remembering wandering about the Harts. Nancy Hart was a historical figure in Nicholas County, so I wondered if they were related.
My great grandparents graves were moved from several miles away, and their farm was not destroyed by the lake.
