Maner
I am curious to know more about the maner family. I think they are my ancestors. Here the name is Manar because the person we came from is listed as unable to read and write in the census as well as his wife and others who were here. Maybe thats why my great grandfather and siblings and my granny and her siblings were all Manar instead of Maner. There are a few out here that come from the same ancestor and spell their name Manor. I am not sure why. So anyhow on the death certificates I have for my great grandfather and his siblings...they have their father listed some as James Manar and some as Polk Manar. I am assuming James and Polk are the same person and that he is James Henry Manar and probably the son of William manar? Thats kind of what people have told me but I dont have any documents stating that William was the father of polk/james manar. I am not even sure why he was called Polk. I was very young when my granny passed away and she never told my dad anything because she was even young when her father passed away. Its unfortunate because so many of us dont know much about this family. I just thought you might know some about them.

Mike,
I have discovered Rosella and Ranson Estes the parents of Mary Jane Estes married to John Warner to part of the Warner's. Do you have any information of this union? Maybe John's birthday or death or the names of their children? I have Mary Jane's info as: B. Jan. 22, 1842; D. Feb. 24, 1928. Or either of their siblings. Or just possilbe John's Parents?? Thanks so much. I'm going to go to Brush Creek to see the graves. Do you happen to have any pictures of Rosella and Ranson?
Thank you in advance. this is so exciting to find this information. FYI: John Warner, one of ten, of the Mary Ann McClain and James union. John and Flora were my Grandparents. Marty White
