This is a poem that I stumbled upon (author unknown):
Always a silent hurt, many a silent tear, but always a beautiful memory of one we loved so dear.
God gave us strength to bear it, and courage to take the blow, but what it meant to lose you
...no one will ever know.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in FL, NY, CA, WA, and OR. I was married to my best friend in San Diego over 38 years ago. We now live in the beautiful great Northwest. We have four wonderful children and we've been blessed with ten grandchildren.
I found Find A Grave by accident. It has become one of my favorite sites to visit. It has given me a place that I can remember my mother and my sister Sandy and honor their memory right from my desk. Thank you Find A Grave.

Please DON'T use the Virtual Flowers feature to post corrections. Use the VFs only for tributes and condolences as per F.A.G. guidelines.
Please use the Suggest a Correction feature to make requests for modifications or transfers.(Transfer requests should typically meet the Find A Grave guidelines).
If I've created a record that someone needs to correct, update or add information, please let me know and I'll be glad to add your information for you.
Just remember to list the subject as relating to find a grave, or else it may be mistaken for junk mail, and I wouldn't want that to happen.
Strangers in the Box By Pamela A. Harazim
Come, look with me inside this drawer, In this box I've often seen, At the pictures, black and white, Faces proud, still, serene. I wish I knew the people, These strangers in the box, Their names and all their memories Are lost among my socks. I wonder what their lives were like. How did they spend their days? What about their special times? I'll never know their ways. If only someone had taken time To tell who, what, where, when, These faces of my heritage Would come to life again. Could this become the fate Of the pictures we take today? The faces and the memories Someday to be tossed away? Make time to save your pictures, Seize the opportunity when it knocks, Or someday you and yours could be The strangers in the box. | |
