I was born and raised in Jasper County, Indiana. My family has been here since the 1830's. My family research started as a girl scout project and has never stopped. I am familiar with most early families in the county and most cemeteries. I transplanted my husband here from Tennessee and we are raising our 3 boys, the 5th generation, on Stroup land (my mothers family).

Sarah Yeoman Pancoast Hi Mary, I attempted to connect Sarah to her parents Alva and Elizabeth Cockerill Yeoman but did not find the edit button for family relationship available. During a recent trip to the DAR library in Wasington DC, I copied the complete file on Stepehn Yeoman's descendants. Info there confirmed the relationship. Could you please make the connection? Thank you! Ginger

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
Paul & Ruth Longstreth Mary - are there headstones for Paul (#62523323) and Ruth (#62523324) for your Find a Grave Memorials for the Longstreth's. That would be great to get photos of their headstone(s) on their memorials. Thank you, Claudia
47604702 Stephen Yeoman Hello Mary, Some time ago you had responded to a question regarding duplicate memorials for Revolutionary Veteran Stephen Yeoman. The clarification was much appreciated. Today I was thrilled to visit the Rock Mills cemetery! We found the grave of Stephen, with the DAR marker. The large stone for James Yeoman was in good condition as well. Sadly many of the other stones were not in good shape. We were guided there by another Yeoman descendant, Dan, whom I connected with on this site. Stehen is my 6th great grandfather and I am descended through James' son Alvah, then his son Stehen Bates Yeoman whose eldest daughter was Estelle Yeoman, my GG grandmother. Just wanted to share my excitement in the discovery of these ancestors resting place. Best regards, Ginger Thrush
RE: Hayes photos Hi Mary, in your last message to me about a year ago you mentioned that you have photos of the Henry Howard Hayes family or relatives, and also a letter his wife wrote about a stove (?). I don't think my mother and I have any photos, though I will double check with her. If you wouldn't mind sharing, we would love to have some photos of them. H.H.Hayes is my great-great-grandfather through his daughter Edith May Hayes Beasley. If you'd rather not share, that's okay. :) Thanks for your consideration, though. My email is email@example.com if you want it.
