I've been doing Geneaolgy for 30 years. Before that was my Great Aunt Lois who for years did family history. And who helped many Gen. author's with their research. Also her cousin Bernie who did the first Clan MacBean Geneaolgy books. Then corrected, revised and expanded and in the hand's of Dr. Joseph S. Bean. Still being updated even now by Clan MacBean, Inc. since many families are still incomplete. I guess you could say it's a family hobby.|
The photo? From back in the day. Jul 1976 actually. They said I was the first mother (of two) to join the Armed Forces after they finally decided, ok, I guess we gotta. But who believes recruiters? My CO said the same thing so I guess I'll accept it.....anyway, I'm a grandmother now and quite happy about it! Spoil rotten hand back is my motto!
................. I lost my sister Dec 2013 and have not been doing much here or anywhere. I do try to answer messages and such but for now my heart isn't entirely in it. Do forgive if I missed something or wasn't as on top of. In time.

|Peter Morgan||RE: Re John Lowell|
I am having a hard time with the different dates in the Judge John Lowell book, and the Lowell Genealogy book by Delmar Lowell. I presume that the newer book would have the more accurate information?
|Brendan Byther||RE: Grave of Peter, Bither|
Wow that's amazing that we are related. Had you known Peters Bithers story from his childhood the big events of his life I had mentioned? I would like to take a closer look and figure out if we are first second or third cousins. It's great to meet new people that I never knew were part of my family 😄
|Brendan Byther||Grave of Peter, Bither|
Peter Bither is one of my first ancestors, I have a genealogy report done by my great grandmother, it has his whole history about how he came overt to America as a young boy and his only defense against the mean sailors was to bite them so they started to call him Peter "Biter"' then a very gracious family took him in once they reached America he did stay in Maine but the family changed his name from Peter Biter to Peter Bither. He fought for the Americans during the American Revolution and during the war of 1812 he had roughly 9 children I believe and since his family has grown all over the nation off of his children was phineas Bither who traveled out to California during the gold rush. Then the last name changed somewhere down the line from Bither to Byther and the first Byther in my family married my great grandmother when he got back from fighting in Europe during WWII his name was Edward Byther My grandfather was his sone and my grand fathers son is my dad and my dads son is me I now have possession of the family coat of arms. I was really interest to find where he was buried. Thanks
|Martin Smith||RE: Emerson line ...|
Ok, burning the 'midnight' oil ...
James P. Chase is my 4th great grand uncle: his sister, Abigail is my 4th great grandmother (m. James Smith in Sebec 1817). Another line is that Mary Jane Badger Cross is my 3rd great grandmother (m. David Hoxie Cross). My father's grandmother is Alice Gertrude Cross, granddaughter of David Hoxie Cross by his son, Gailon [Galen] Cross).

Thanks for your questions! I have not entered all my lines into my Family Tree Maker program nor on line. I will check it and let you know. I know it's on the Emerson line, then Kilgore (great-great grandmother), back and forth through both female and male ancestry to William Brewster. I believe it is through one of his daughters, so perhaps it is Elizabeth! (Double cousins!)
The Hannah Emerson you mention ... when was she born?
|Martin Smith||RE: Daniel Chase|
Nice to meet another cousin, too! Thanks, Paula.

I think the person who applied for the Sons app was incorrect. I have the same info as you for her. Thanks. Was just wondering if you knew something else.
You have been a great help on this line, thanks.

Was just wondering why the SONS of Revolution application has her Deborah Wade's birthday as Feb 1645??

I have found graves lost to time in newspaper between
The Johnson Family of Clarinda had Mr & Mrs Smith from Chicago for company for dinner Wednesday....
Mrs Smith, the blacksmith wife was buried in Braddyville Saturday....
The College Springs Methodist Church Box Supper was a great success raising enough money for their new organ...
History can be funny can't it? Never found what her full name was just the date of burial, too many unmarked graves in this large cemetery. Or anymore on the husband. Someday someone will put our pieces of the puzzles together and go 'GOTCHA!'
|Carol Shaffer Cecil||RE: No listing on FAG|
I would love to add the Old Swallow Cemetery, but I am not the creator of the site for James lebroke, how can we get it changed
