My family research started in 1980.

In August 2007, I founded the Angel Babies Memorial Project. The mission of this project is to discover and record the gravesites of infants and children who died in New York City and other states between 1798 - 1948 and link them genealogically to their families.
Every memorial serves as a tribute to a youngster who died much too soon. They all deserve to be remembered and honored, and given a sense of dignity and love in death that may have been denied to them in life. By doing so, they will not be forgotten.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit St Michael's Cemetery and taking a photo of the unmarked grave location.

One of the most frustrating things in Genealogy, to me, is finally finding out a burial location and arriving at the cemetery to find that there is no headstone.

But while frustrating, it is always a good reminder to me that while I take a headstone for granted in 2016, that was not the case for many of our ancestors.

Thank you again for the volunteer effort,

Mark

Graves of Joseph Neville and his wife, Frances Jane 'Fannie' Corrigan
Dear "Historian,"

Thank you so much, so very much for the grave pictures for Joseph Neville and his wife, Frances Jane 'Fannie' Corrigan.

They are my wife's great Grandparents, and you have just ended a 35 year quest in searching for their graves. Yes, I do wish they had a headstone, but they were quite poor and their not having one is quite understandable.

Again, thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. Hopefully, someday we can visit their graves.

Good luck in your continuing endeavors.

Regards,
Jim Forcum

Hello,
Oh yes, please do! From doing family research, the child grave in question represents my husband's fathers only true brother, and if there is a headstone, perhaps it may answer some lond sort out questions. Again, thank you for your service. It is truly appreciated!

Gertude Berhens Harmuth
I just wanted to express my gratitude for taking the picture of Gertude Berhens Harmuth’s gravesite in St. Michael's Cemetery. I was told that she died while on vacation to the states. Although there was no headstone, it still means a lot to have a photo to mark her place.
Should you go back to St. Michael’s perhaps you can someday fulfill my other request for “Willi” Held, a 4 yr old boy who died in 1928, and is also buried there in Plot: grave 75, range 40, plot 7.

Thank you so much for volunteering to take pics for those of us who live far away and for doing what we cannot!
Sincerely, Annie
