Bio and Links
Bio Photo We gladly transfer memorials to family and friends and, when asked, are happy to share photos with family members for personal, non-commercial use.

Please let us know of any corrections, additional information or transfer requests by using the new options under the [Edit] tab located in the top right corner of each memorial page.

Most edits can be done via their own link.
Use the sixth option for transfer requests.

***We appreciate Edit requests but we're receiving a lot of incorrect ones. Please be positive, without a doubt, you have the correct information before sending link requests, maiden names, dates, locations, etc.***

We won't link our memorials to those listed without the correct disposition (Burial Unknown, for example) so please don't ask. There is a specific rule in the FAQ's about the use of Burial Unknown, please read it before using it.

Please read the FAQ's for instructions on what you can and cannot add to memorials. Relying on other member's profiles and memorials can lead you astray.

Three members asked if we would manage the memorials they created in the Odd Fellows Cemetery and Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater, WA., and Forest Memorial in Olympia, WA. That accounts for the difference in our added and managed numbers.

We are not related to anyone in these three cemeteries-just maintaining the memorials.

Dear Sir, thank you so very much for putting up the grave site of my Grandmother Rose(Gareau)Barry-Plamer. I never got to meet her but I did meet her sister my aunt Mary. It was so nice of you and your wife to work on the file. You will never know how much this means to me.
God Bless your work and your lives.

RE: Lawrence Smith info
You are absolutely awesome! I am so excited!
I'm looking forward to hearing from you. I'm Hoping to find others desendence of Ella's that I can contact in order to find photos of W.L. and Ella. I'm having a real hard time finding his parents Lawrence and Kate. All I know is the were married in northern Ireland prior to coming to Cal. where W.L. was born in 1860.

Thanks again for all your help,

RE: Lawrence Smith info
That's awesome! She is my great grandmother. my dad is Don Smith, son of Markus Smith, who is the son of W.L. Smith and Ella.
As I understand, Ella's father James T ws married prior to Hannah to a Lucinda. Not sure if that's true to fact. I have some questions as to Lucinda's relation to the family, she may be a sister or other relative.

Would you have any other photos of Ella or her parents or siblings? I did see the picture of Viola. Is that your grandmother?

I would really love to chat with you sometime. Feel Free to give a call anytime! I have the DeSpain line as far back as 1802. I've been working on adding this info into Heredis, and just moved everything from the old program to the 2014, lost a lot of stuff and am re entering it all. Now they've come up with 2015....AHHH!
AnyWay, thank you so much for your replies, and guidance!

I'll check with my friend Lee Pierce at the Washington State Digital Archives in Cheney Wa. He's been a great help.

Best Regard,

RE: Lawrence Smith info
Hi Elaine,
thanks for that really quick reply! LOL! that's great!
I don't have any other info on him, not sure if the right spelling. The only info we have is that his son William Luis Smith was born in Santa Clara County on Dec. 8, 1860 and moved to Oregon where he met and married his wife Ella Dispain, then moved to Washington State, to the Odessa Wa. area shortly after.
W.L. Smith was reported to have lived at one point, before moving to Oregon, near the Sacramento area as a farmer, possibly a sheep farmer, since he eventually brought a heard up to Washington to raise.

I'm sorry if I can't be specific to your request. I hope this will help.

Thank you, Colby

Lawrence Smith info
Hi Elaine,
Thank you so much for all the valuable history and grave information and all your hard work getting this information compiled. I realize the hard work and very much appreciate your efforts.

I was wondering where you found the information regarding Lawrence Smith's name spelling, and the name of his wife. We, his desendence, have always thought her name was Anna Kitt. a few of William's marriage doc.'s have her as Anne Kitt.
I've been desperately trying to find William's birth records, knowing he was born in Santa Clara county Cal. I'm hoping that these doc's would have her info as well as Lawrence's and when they immigrated from Ireland. The family stories have them married in northern Ireland prior to arriving in the US.

any infor or direction you can lead me would be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
Colby Smith
