|Kathy||RE: Anna Johnson Spilde|
Anna's oldest daughter, my great grandmother (Anna Spilde Nelson Syverson) had it. After she died,
it was passed down to:
her son (Rudolph) my grandfather
his son (Rupert) my uncle
I had it for many years and now I have given it to another cousin. It was very large, about 18 x 24, with a big thick frame. (My mother's family saved everything.)
Did you also see the picture of Gertrude Spilde Seim's family?

Hi, Whatever dates you go with will be what I enter as he is closest to you. I am not sure if the newer birth & death records are on file at the Worth County Courthouse or not. But I can check it out sometime as I have a few other records to look for there. Could be his birth date was given in written form & the 17th was mistaken for the 11th if the 7 had a short top to it. Like I said I will go with whatever you feel is right. Thanks for the response & have a good one. Mark Cottrell

Hi Bradley, I was just wondering on the memorial for Mark Edwin Spilde if he was born on July 11th as the Stone is inscribed or if it was July 17th as I have found on some other records for him. Also the Stone says he died December 2nd & the Find-A-Grave Memorial says December 12th. Just wanted to check with you so I enter the correct info on my tree on Ancestry. I am not blood related to Mark but I live about 2 miles south of where his brother Arlo lived & talked with Arlo many times as he gave me permission to hunt his farm ground. My relationship with the Spilde family is as follows. Mark Edwin Spilde (1954 - 2004)is the
great grandson of husband of my great grandmother
Merlin Thomas Spilde (1915 - 1990)
father of Mark Edwin Spilde
Anna Marie Luckason (1893 - 1960)
mother of Merlin Thomas Spilde
Thomas A Luckason (1868 - 1907)
father of Anna Marie Luckason
Christena Grove (1871 - 1959)
2nd wife of Thomas A Luckason
Mabel Inez Ure (1896 - 1931)
daughter of Christena Grove
Weston Floyd "Bill" Cottrell (1923 - )
son of Mabel Inez Ure
Mark Weston Cottrell I just chase down my family lines sometimes including the in laws. Thanks & have a good one. Mark Cottrell.

Ok then, if you change your mind please let me know. Yes, he did have a wonderful smile. We also both have the same upturned nose!

Would you like a transfer of Gerald's memorial? He is my grandmother's first cousin and we had the pleasure of spending some time with him over the past few years but it sounds as though you have a much more personal relationship with him.
