Bio and Links
Bio Photo I recently retired and find that I now have time to document the final resting places of family members and add information that will be helpful for generations into the future. My primary interest at this point is to create memorials for family members and link them to each other. Most of my family are from Overton, Clay and surrounding counties of middle Tennessee. Many members of our family moved to Indiana and Ohio. I believe Find A Grave is a great asset in honoring the lives of our ancestors.

Saphronia "Maggie" Dickson
Her memorial needs to be moved to the Dickson Cemetery #2 to be with her husband. Just press in the underlined Dickson Cemetery link on her Memorial and then look up Dickson Cemetery #2 and then save and she will be in the right cemetery.

RE: Sam Talley Cemetery
BTW, are you up in the Ohio area now? That's where we're going back to.

RE: Sam Talley Cemetery
Bill Campbell actually doesn't go out to the cemeteries - he lives in Indiana and gets his documentation off the web, but he did have a ton of memorials (which I now hold).
I hope to continue work on Find A Grave, but age and health are making it tougher every day. We shall see, but I'll miss it terribly if I can't get out there.

RE: Sam Talley Cemetery
Know exactly what you mean. I went to find a small cemetery, perhaps 4 graves, near where I live. I knew the exact location from an old map, and when I got there the homeowner told me he took the headstones out because it 'interfered when he went to mow the lawn'. He threw the headstones behind his barn and they were broken into tiny pieces. I was appalled and so wishes there were someone I could have reported this unthinking creature to. He should hope that no one does that to his forebears.

Sam Talley Cemetery
It'd be terrific if/when you locate this little gem - seems it's been hidden a while and no one seems to know exactly where it is or even if it still exists. Lots of these small ones get plowed under by unthinking farmers and all trace is eradicated. Let's hope this isn't one of them.
