Bio Photo This photo was taken in 1968 as a high school student working on a tiny graveyard restoration project. My family genealogy has been an intense 14+ year study and has led me back to circa 1755 London. Many folks have been kind enough to assist me in the tedious but rewarding research project. Contributing to Find-A-Grave is my way of giving back and paying forward.

I believe that a memorial belongs with the family and loved ones to cherish and maintain. My mission is to be cooperative with others doing research and I am more than willing to transfer memorials I have created.
*** When photographing a memorial, I do not alter it's condition. I take them as I find them!

"I think most people can do a whole awful lot more if they just try, ... They just don't have the confidence that they can write a novel or they can write poetry or they can take pictures or paint or whatever, and so they don't do it, and they leave the planet dissatisfied with themselves."
quote from Gordon A. Parks, Sr. 1912-2006

Phillip J. (Julian) Russell's parents

His parents were Jeremiah B Russell, b. 1820, d. 1889 (Rehobeth Lunenburg County) and

Nancy F.Throckmorton, b. 1833

I don't know where the parents are buried.

I wish I could find Jeremiah's parents and siblings.

The above has a wife's name on the monument in Lakeview Cemetery, Nottoway CO, Va. It is not readable. The 1940 census in that county and state has her name as Dona(being 49yrs) and George as 43 years with 3 children. A closer look at it I think her first name is Dona. This is for your info. George's mother had the maiden name of Brock that are on my ancestors tree. Thank you.

PFC Jeston Clifford Whittington
Is it possible to add Memorial# 78680492 to the virtual WWII cemetery you manage? He was KIA in the Philippines in 45. He was Awarded the US Silver Star for gallantry in action, posthumously. Camp Whittington, Japan which operated throughout the Korean War, was named in his honor.

RE: # 64147605 and # 64147552
Thanks, so much, Louise! I love the story! I am hoping that my husband and I can spend a little time exploring in Brunswick and Lunenburg Counties this summer when we head up to Pittsburgh. My gg grandfather's portrait is/was in the Lunenburg County Courthouse and I would love to see it first hand, along with all of the Orgain family cemeteries. I will have to try to put together a plan for it. I will let you know what we work out. I understand about the farm. My husband and I used to have a chicken farm. Thanks again!

Hi Louise, would you be so kind as to let me use your photographs of the gravestones of William Derby Orgain and Elizabeth Neblett Orgain for my personal genealogical pursuits? These are my 5g grandparents and I have no idea if I will be able to get to their old farm or even get permission to see them. Also, I ran across your write up about the Orgain 2 Family Cemetery and the possibility that it is haunted. Link:

How very interesting! Would you mind if I include this in my genealogical documents? I will certainly give full credit to you for the photographs and the write-up.

You are a treasure to the Orgain descendants for all of your hard work and photographs and I am sure to many other families as well. -Vicki
