I was born, raised and live in NJ. Have always been interested in history, genealogy and cemeteries. My favorite cemetery is Highgate (East) in London.
I look forward to combining my love of cemeteries and photography and sharing them with the world.

Paerschke & Borthwick Families @ Neshanic Cemetery
Hello Jamie!

I was asked to supply my brother with family information and discovered that the "Find a Grave" did not list the remaining family members buried in Neshanic Cemetery.

Since you were kind to include Frieda Paerschke's information, I thought it best to contact you to tell you that engraved on the opposite side of her tombstone is where her brother Otto Paerschke is buried. Also, Otto's former residence was converted into "Otto's Farm Park" in Neshanic Station for use by the public.

Also, my parents, James Borthwick and Herta Paerschke Borthwick are buried on the opposite side of Frank & Ida Paerschke's tombstone.

I have added the additional family info into "Find a Grave," however, since I live in Florida it is not convenient for me to submit pictures of the tombstone sites.

Thank you for your interest in historical info.

Best regards,
Alice Borthwick Fecskovics

No problem. The Grassmann family were neighbors of my Aunt in Hoboken, NJ and dear friends of ours. I miss them all! Thank you kindly, Jamie. Ida

Lou was my husband's grandfather. I know that is not precisely in Find a Grave's rules for a mandatory transfer, but if you are willing I would love to have his memorial. My husband doesn't have a Find a Grave account; he trusts me to handle all the family stuff.

Dear Jamie,
RE: Charles Modzelewski Grave Marker at Neshanic Cemetery in NJ:

I would just like to clarify some info. indicated in previous messages dated 1-11-2014 by Bill Moore, my brother, and by Betsy C. Griscom’s post on 1-20-2015 (a year later). Betsy was my brother Charlie’s Ex-Wife, and was already divorced from him at the time of his death. Know that back in ’91 when Charlie died, his Family was devastated and did not know where Charlie’s Final Disposition would be – as he did not leave a Will. So he was cremated and his ashes were kept with Family until his Funeral, where his ashes were placed, by me, at Arlington National Cemetery on 11-4-2011. Certainly, it “was not” the case, as stated by Betsy that, “his family wouldn't tell me anything about him or the disposition of his body!” Betsy was already divorced from Charlie at his time of death, and his Family had no contact info. for her. As well, I know my brother Bill would certainly have responded had he received ANY request(s), or follow-up messages for contact. It is very much appreciated that Mary Griscom, Betsy’s sister, had a Grave Marker made and placed at the Griscom’s Family Plot at Neshanic Cemetery… but know, for the record, that Charlie’s Date of Birth is incorrect as indicated on this Marker! Thank You for allowing me to indicate these corrections.
