|Hi, I am gathering my ancestors on Find A Grave and am a descendent of Eleanor Thomas b. 1820 and Jehu "John" Rucker b. 1816, both from Ohio. The ancestral connection to Peter Rucker of Virginia, the first Rucker to arrive in America, has finally been made.|
My ancestral trail is Peter Rucker (Virginia) to James Rucker (Virginia) to Lemuel Rucker (Virginia, Ohio) to Ambrose Rucker (Virginia, Ohio, Iowa) to Jehu Rucker (Ohio) to Benjamin Rucker (Ohio, Nebraska, Arkansas) to Allen Rucker (Ohio, Nebraska, Oklahoma) to Albert Rucker (Nebraska, Oklahoma, California, Arizona)
I have a virtual cemetery with non related Ruckers in it. If you find one in there that is your Ancestor I will be glad to transfer the memorial to you.
Feel free to leave a message with any information or questions.

|LShue||Charles Rucker's sons|
The markers only give year dates:
William R. Rucker 1947-1994
Robert A. Rucker 1951-1993
Let me know when you're ready for me to add the photos.

When I was looking for Charles Rucker to fulfill your photo request, I also found markers for sons William and Robert Rucker nearby. If you decide to create a memorial page for them, I would be glad to add photos of their markers.

I have been doing my family and found your information. It has matched mine. He was my 4th great grandfather, his father was Lemuel, mother was Anna Booten, I also have Anna's father and mother as William and Sallie (Wood).
Any information you have would be very helpful.
I only started a month ago and it is better then reading a book. my email is bsaultman and I am with yahoo.

Thank you for the prayers to Gilbert. He needs every one!
|Margaret H||Hello! Looking for information about JEHU RUCKER|
I am descended from Jehu and Eleanor's daughter, Mary Anna Roush. I have a copy of her death certificate with their names on it. Do you have any information about when and where Jehu and Eleanor were married? Also any records of Jehu's birth? It's so confusing with the different names he seemed to be called. (Jehu, Jay, Jahn in one record, and John) I tried to find the copy of Eleanor's obituary, but can't online. Did you go Lawrence Co for that?
Sorry for all the questions, and I will be happy to share any information that I can gather.

I believe you are right. I originally thought (and marked it) 1818 but it's looking more like 1848.
I've learned so much from your research and am glad I was able to contribute. You are the expert but I think I should add 1829 to DOB and 1848 to DOD. Agree?
Also, we didn't spend too much time at the site but the graveyard is pretty big and I think cows were allowed in at one time. Lemuel the revolutionary is hard to miss but that is definitely not his original stone. Do you know where the original is? I just assume it is totally washed out or face down up there. Next trip I make I will definitely bring some things to make rubbings although zooming these pictures are as good as being there

|Sharlene Miller||Mary Ann Rucker, dau of Lucy Blake Rucker|
Can you tell me anything more about Mary Ann Rucker, who was the daughter of Lucy Blake Rucker, wife of Lemuel Rucker.
My husband's great grandmother was also named Mary Ann Rucker. She was born in 1851. We thought that she was born in Greenbrier County, Virginia, but do not have any documentation other than a death certificate for her. The informant was her daughter Ledora Hutchison.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The weather was temperate enough to travel to Perry. We reviewed Section E and the Rucker burials. I am convinced that Allen J. is, in fact H.A. There is no headstone for the infant who had to have been born to Allen and died in 1901.
I did a pan photo of their burial area if you want it. There are two burials nearby, but those do not appear related.
