Bio and Links
Bio Photo My goal on the Find a Grave website is to find the final resting place of ancestors that have laid the foundation of our lives. I think it is facinating to chart the path that helps connect our lives and our children's lives to those that carved out a new life, under harsh conditions in a new world to bring us the freedom and lifestyle we have today.

Praising the Lord for my ancestors who were faithful to the Holy Scriptures and laid the foundations for those of us who would come after.

Romans 8:37-39 (NAS)
"But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Went back this afternoon - it was a beautiful day. Got Robert, and got you a "poser" photo of Nancy. The top piece is now resting in front of the base, not laying down in the dirt. Robert is about 20 feet from Nancy.

You are most welcome. I generally don't work Carter County, but this fall weather has been nice, and I'm a bit caught up in Washington County. Let me go back and see if I can find Robert. He's on an old survey, so the marker was at least there years ago. The cemetery is very well kept. Also, with your permission, I might try to do at least minor repair to Nancy. I am very careful about messing with markers without permission from a family member. I can at least get a photo for you with the top temporarily placed on the bottom - it'll look better, if it's OK with you if I move the pieces. I do a lot of this, and am a member of a few historic organizations, so I do have some experience in it. And, yes, my photos are for others to enjoy, so feel free to use them. Gordon

Sorry I did not find a tumbstone. You will see what I did find. If not mistaken you have a line through Richard Green American Revolution. I don't take pictures of tombstones. I do photos. Blessings from God. K
