New Lorimier pictures
Karen:
Hello - I was at New Lorimier cemetery yesterday taking pictures in section 1 - trying to eventually get all the graves photographed. It seems that your pictures of Toellners and Uhls are not coming up on their memorial pages. Please let me know if I am mistaken and I will remove the new pictures I put on there. I didn't know what to do but knew if it were me, I would want a picture of their grave.
Thanks. Ruth Smith

I did the linking for you. Would you like a transfer? They are not related to me.

Thanks Karen for the info!!!

Would you like for me to transfer the Meystedt's that I have posted to you because they are your family? I only posted them because Hazel was a part of my Mom and Aunt's lives, she was a very funny lady!!!

Hi Karen,

I have a silly question for you, how did you find Hazel's obit on line, I only know about checking the Missourian Newspaper and it only goes back for about ten years.

I have lots of older obits I would like to have, but do not know where to go to get them. I know you can write to the Cape Public Library, but I do not feel I want to bother them too much!

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated!! Glad you were able to find Kathleen's info on Hazel's obit.

Thanks so much !!!

Kathleen/Katherine Meystedt
Hi Karen,

I did see the death certificate on line. I thought it was an error. Her mother Hazel and my mother and aunt were good friends. As a child I remember when Kathleen passed away and Hazel was devastated, she was post-partum? after Kathleen was born and blamed herself for years for the baby's death. I was a child, but remember her being called Kathleen, I think it did show Kathleen at Trinity Lutheran's records.

I have found that some of the death certificates can be wrong too, possibly because of the state of the person giving the info.

I don't know what to tell you, her brother Kermit is still living and also, her sister Dianne, but I do not know Dianne's last name. Years ago, my Aunt Mary told me that Kermit and Dianne did not know that they had a sister who passed away, but as they got older maybe Hazel did tell them.

Sorry I do not have an answer for you that would help you!!

Carolyn
