|terri capps||RE: Joseph vick|
Hi again, Russ,
I went to this site and see the data on Vick and grandson. The only problem is I can not see how to get myself related to either of them.
I have traced my line back to John Capps 1813-1858 who was AmericaLou's husband. I can't get John's father or mother. That's where Francis Capps Hall stopped as well, I think but I could be wrong about that.
But I will await your snailmail letter hoping it will contain the method to connect with these two fellows. And my search will be over! [at least until I get the bug again!]
Thanks so much for your time. Plz tell me how much we owe you for your copying?

I have searched all over the web and can't see a way to connect myself to Joseph Vick Revolutionary War soldier. I see he has the great grandson who is a Capps, but I can't find a way to connect to him either.
Additionally, I tried to find JV on the DAR site and couldn't do that either!
This is HARD!
I can see why Francis Capps Hall switched over to her mom's side!
Speaking of Francis. You are right in saying she was in Fla her last years. Over near Tampa. and my Dad who would have loved to have visited with her was only a few miles away in Orlando. Lost out there for sure!
Here is my address: 213 Oldfield Place Montgomery, AL 36117
You can also use my hotmail address to contact me too.

I think I have your branch traced to the folks who ended up in Corydon, IN.
Thanks for verifying that that little boy is my ggrandfather Ephraim of 'civil war' fame.
I have a tree drawn up by Francis Capps Hall which I think was given to my dad James Capps [Orlando] by his cousin Albert Capps of Joelton, TN. Under 'Elizabeth Capps' are the names 'Jeff' and then under that 'Harman'. Not sure who they [he?] are.
I am interested in getting a Revolutionary War soldier so I can join the DAR. So far no luck on the Capps end. Francis joined but she went through her mother's side after she abandoned the Capps side.
Francis just passed away in October - wish I had known about her earlier. She was quite an historian!
I'd also like to know where I can see that photo of America Lou in Indian dress!

John and America Lou Casebear Capps are my gggrandparents through Ephraim. I am trying to figure out something about the photo. Is it of Ephraim or of John?
There is some allusion out there to the idea that America Lou was a native american. What do you know about that?

Thanks for the clarification. I've been in search of the Parsleys.
Lucille was the sister of Leonidas Hughes Parsley who was married to my great aunt's daughter. Leonidas was married 3 times. My relative was #2. As far as I can tell Lucille died in Canada in 1943. I assume she and Leo were divorced.
You too my friend :)

Thanks so much for the information. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I haven't been on the website in a while.
