Howdy neighbors, my name is "J.R." Richardson. In my younger years I was always too busy having fun and working to pay attention to, or ask questions about my ancestors. Now in my older years, after it's too late to ask those questions, I find myself desperately wanting to know more about my past ancestry. And also to pass on this information to my Kids,GrandKids and Great GrandKids,so they will not have to wonder who their ancestors were, how they lived and where they came from .
I live in the "Entertainment Capitol" : LAS VEGAS,Nevada. I enjoy Genealogy which is what led me to this site. Actually, one day while doing some research on my Uncle Marvin (My Father's Brother)on an ancestry site, there was his name as a link at the bottom of the page so I clicked on it,it went to Google and his name was there as one of the listings that said,"Find a Grave",with it,so I clicked on it and the rest is history. I think this is a great place to honor and remember our loved ones. And to share geneaology information.

FYI - I do have headstone photos for most of my listings. I am behind in adding them to the memorials. If I do not have a photo posted yet or a correction needs to be made, please "Leave a Message" for me below and I will do my best to correct it.

A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum. I stopped at a cemetery and my life has never been the same. Someone, long ago, predicted my fascination about burial plots. It seems on the day I was born, my parents looked gravely at me. The doctor picked me up by the heels and slapped my mother and made her cry. Life started out not quite right! Thus I went to cemeteries and became a grave whisperer.

I volunteer for Find A Grave to honor our past and to breathe life into the memories of our ancestors. I volunteer to ensure that your relatives and mine are not forgotten.

"Find A Grave's mission is to transcribe cemetery information from around the world and to present this information as a virtual cemetery experience. Memorial contributions to Find A Grave should at the least fulfill the mission *** registration of the final resting place. If a memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, the memorial has fulfilled its part of Find A Grave's mission. Find A Grave memorials may contain rich content including photographs, biographies, and date information. Members can leave remembrances via ‘virtual flowers' on the memorials they visit, completing the virtual cemetery experience. Find A Grave is a resource for anyone interested in finding the final resting place of family, friends, and ‘famous' individuals" **************************************
Transfer requests must follow Find A Grave guidelines. Be specific on your relationship. I will make corrections, additions, & family links when asked. Use the Edit tab, then the Suggest A Correction (SAC) option & include your email address. I submit obituaries (without living relatives as per "Find A Grave Guidelines",unless given special permission to do so,by person who wrote obituary)to this site as a hobby and enjoy reading the many obituaries. I do not intentionally duplicate anyones entry, so if that does happen, please let me know and I will delete it, only if theirs has a lower memorial # than mine. If I have added any, and someone wants me to transfer to them, I will be more than happy to do so (as per Find A Grave Guidelines),as long as that person is not related to me. It's not about who has the most entries(Memorials).
I do respect all contributors of FAG and expect the same from them.
Use of my photos for non-profit purposes only. Ancestry.com is NOT non-profit!!

A Big "THANK YOU" to all the Find-A-Grave Volunteers who have taken gravestone photos for us. Our goal is to get a gravestone photo of all our relatives and with the help of Find A Grave we're well on our way. Thanks so much. ******************************* "When we are dead, and people weep for us and grieve, let it be because we touched their lives with beauty and simplicity.
