Born and (for the most part) raised in Boone County, West Virginia. My West Virginia families are Hunters, Brownings; and through marriages Greens and Kimblers. South Carolina families are Cope/Ellis and extensions. I am also working on research of the local Hager, Webb, Ball and Gore families, and the Smoot and Chambers lines. Many of the graves I post are not relatives, but from local families or just forgotten in an old graveyard somewhere. I prefer hunting for and documenting the hard-to-find, older family graveyards in the mountains and try to avoid the larger, "drive up" cemeteries. I photograph, research and attempt to link every grave site I post, and willingly accept any corrections or edits. You can send information thru the message board, the edit tool, or e-mail me, but I think it is important for every post to be as accurate as possible so please don't hesitate to let me know if you have a correction or link. Likewise, I will transfer any memorial to a family member if you request, as long as they are not my relatives, as I hope the memorials I post benefit the families. I feel they belong to relatives, not me. Please consider any information/photos I provide as being free for any non-profit use. It is not necessary to credit me for the photos; you may credit Find A Grave if you wish.|

I apologize as I had Eliza's middle name incorrect. It should be Eliza Ann Powell Ball. I am so sorry. I've confused her with another 2nd great aunt, her sister is "Alice."
All that I have in the way of records are Death (thanks to you, I located it), Marriage, Findagrave and then Fed Census for 1850, 1870 and 1860. Just going by census, in 1860, she is 11 yrs old. In 1850 census, she is 2 yrs old. She is 21 yrs old in 1870 census. Someone with a family tree on ancestry has referenced the following from "Kith and Kin of Boone Co, WV, Vol. XIX" ~ Died in childbirth: 23 Feb 1877 at age 28, 2 mos. That was reported by her husband, Parkinson Ball.
I haven't been to our Powell cemetery because I have not been able to get to Madison. Also, I am super allergic to poison ivy and I just can't attempt to go up there even if I get the chance to travel. That is why I so greatly appreciate the photos and records you have recorded. My email is email@example.com. If you can furnish me with your email, I can fill you in on a couple of more things about all of this.
Many thanks and again, I apologize for my confusion on this ancestor.

Your offer to divest and transfer the Ballard family of Boone County to my custody and care is most generous.
If you were to that, be assured that I would take each one and research them carefully, and make the necessary links.
This would include census, birth, marriage, death, and service records. I'll even put them in a virtual cemetery so you can keep track of them also. When I first joined Find A Grave, a contributor transferred the Stoner family of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to me. I was able research, link, and even add family photographs through contacts that I made. That was a great opportunity, and I was happy with it.
I'm not related to the Ballard family, simply taking an interest and developing research skills. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thanks Jenine for your consideration, and I appreciate the immense contribution you've made here.

Jenine Kimbler, You are very welcome...I enjoy making the connections. I live and grew up at the foot of the Browning/Dye cemetery in Verner, Mingo County, West Virginia. I have six or seven generation buried there.
|Myra Elaine||Thank You !|
Thanks Jeanie for the photo of Carol Sue's stone.
|Terry (Rowley) Bennett||Thanks!|

Thank you so much for this transfer. I have sent a request to you through the edit tab for transferring William's father Tubal to me. I believe that is the only other family member you have.

These are my relatives, sorry about the duplicates. I didn't realize they were the same cemeteries. You may transfer them to me, please.
