I was born in southwest Iowa and currently live in a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Both sides of my family have strong "roots" in Fremont and Page County, Iowa, which is where I've taken the majority of the photos I've added to FindAGrave. Civil War veterans in SW Iowa and the 4th Iowa Cavalry are recent interests.|
Simply taking a picture of a headstone is difficult for me. I use various sources to fill in the dash between the dates. If I've made mistakes feel free to send me corrections, or additions. I know that exact dates and places of birth and death, family relationships, obituaries, burial plots, etc. can be important sources of information. I will add information to any memorial I've created. I am more than willing to transfer memorials if they are not my relatives.
If I didn't create a memorial but did upload a photo of the headstone, click on the headstone photo for additional information. I've given up on suggesting edits and/or corrections to the creator of the memorial.
Anyone may use any of my headstone photos from Find A Grave for their own family research.

|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Hi! It's Kay again . . . just noticed that you live in the Omaha area now. I live in Bellevue west HWY 75 and the base. Would you ever be interested in going together to photograph graves? I enjoy doing it but sometimes it is a lonely hobby!
|Kay Baldwin||RE: Lovelady grave photos|
Thank you so much for completing my request for the Lovelady grave photos in Sidney, Fremont, Iowa. Hope you went while we had some WARMER weather. The cold has kept me from making very many cemetery visits this winter!!

Could you call the cemetery and get the name or number of the section this plot is in. It is near impossible to locate a plot without knowing the section. I sometimes go to this cemetery but right now there is over a foot of snow on the ground so it's unlikely anyone is taking photos here for time being.
I consider you a true genealogy angel! Thank you so much for your response to my question and for the obituary. It helps us so much with our research!
