I saw your name on the memorial of a gentleman for whom I was leaving a flower/token.
We have a somewhat similar upbringing, though mine, on my Dad's side is from Dallas; that's where he, my sister and I were born. You were born the same year and graduated the same year as my late sister. My Mom isn't from Germany - she's from Arkansas (might as well be Germany for all I know about everyone!) My parents met in '48 and were married in '49. (My Mom's still alive and lives with me.)
I bought my first used car, with my late Dad's help, in Caddo Mills! (I'm NOT kidding!) With my Dad's absolutely miraculous mechanical help, he kept it running for me all through college.
In any event, I hope you and your family are doing well, and if you and your wife Janet have kids, please tell Janet that another Texan wishes she has a very happy Mother's Day.
Feel free to contact me -- and reassure your wife I'm not after anything other than friendship and talk of genealogy and perhaps similar Texas histories. (I have a degree in Texas history).
By the way, if you happen to despite the Cowboys, well, we'll be great friends! (Yes, I know -- that sounds very anti-Texas, but I detest Jerry Jones.) If you like the Cowboys, well, I won't hold it against you. ;)
God bless and take care,

You are welcome. I can tell you loved your Dad very much, and I bet he was proud of you. I was glad to get the picture for his memorial.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful token you left on my brother Robert Cosover's memorial. Your kindness is much appreciated!
I saw your question on Nixzmary's page about what happened to the stepfather. Due to FindAGrave rules, there's alot about her story & what happened I couldn't write in the bio. Cesar Rodriguez was convicted on Manslaughter. One of the jurors, someone with a law degree named, Renee Schnall, was the holdout, preventing the other jurors from convicting on Murder 2. He was sentenced to 29 years in prison at Clinton Correctional Facility in NY. Her mother was also just found guilty of manslaughter and will be sentenced Nov.5th 2008. (she got convicted for not helping her daughter) If you'd like more info on Nixzmary, visit her myspace page at www.myspace.com/nixzmarybrown (remember to type the Z in her name) I don't think I'm allowed to list the myspace on her official bio page, but if you want you can check it out.
Thanks for visiting my fathers memorial...
