I have been into family history since 1973. I transcribed all cemeteries in town Schleswig, Manitowoc County, WI in 1974.|
I am currently working on Calumet County, trying to get all cemeteries transcribed.
If you have corrections or additions to anything I have on please let me know.
If I have any pictures of your family members, you are welcome to use them.
Hint: click on the picture you want, and that will bring up a larger file, and then save it.
I've added a new virtual cemetery -- Cemetery X. In my research I am finding obits for people who have some connections in Calumet County, but I don't know where they are buried.
If you have cemetery stones that need cleaning or repair work on old cemetery stones, Shane Peik, has a Chilton, Wisconsin based service.

Thanks, Rose, for furnishing Matt's obit. I added it to his memorial today.

Bernard & Anna Wolfinger, that you created memorials in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hilbert.
We walked the whole cemetery & could not find any gravestone for them.
If they are buried there, they don't have any gravestone(s) or they may not be buried there but at another St. Mary's Cemetery.

Hi Again Rose,
I also just found the great photo you posted of my great grandmother, Mary, at her memorial #70308509. I'm wondering where you got that one too. Thanks for posting it.

I just noticed that you posted a picture of Mathilda on her memorial, #44775645. I was just wondering where you got the photo. Mathilda is my grandmother and I have not seen this one before. Thanks for posting it. It's a great picture.

Thank you Rose for all the absolutely great work you are doing. Amazing.
I would love to meet you, learn how you have done this, alas I live far away. I am enjoying reading about some relatives as I search farther and farther into the family tree. I truly appreciate the information. Especially when you see that someone died at 28, you wonder why! I am on a mission to connect my family and in-laws for future generations to find, so I am amazed by what you are doing. I also am a volunteer photographer and have found a local cemetery with at least 40 unanswered requests....I am searching for them!! Pictures, bit by bit! Wish I could do more, as you have.

This Aleck Higgins is NOT the son of Peter and Catherine Higgins, as shown. They do have a son Alexander, but he was born in 1857, and died in 1942, in Eagle River, Wisconsin.
There were two Peter and Catherine Higgins families living in and/or around Stockbridge, Calumet Co., Wisconsin in the late 1800's. Many of the children have the same given name; causing great confusion at times.

Just a big THANK YOU for all the work you've done in Calumet County. I have many relatives that lived there (Barrett's) and your work has been invaluable in documenting my family genealogy.
Again, MANY THANKS!
