Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been into family history since 1973. I transcribed all cemeteries in town Schleswig, Manitowoc County, WI in 1974.
I am currently working on Calumet County, trying to get all cemeteries transcribed.
If you have corrections or additions to anything I have on please let me know.

I do not take credit for many of the pictures I post here, they are given to me by fellow researchers who want them shared with family members.
If I have any pictures of your family members, you are welcome to use them.
Hint: click on the picture you want, and that will bring up a larger file, and then save it.

I've added a new virtual cemetery -- Cemetery X. In my research I am finding obits for people who have some connections in Calumet County, but I don't know where they are buried.

If you have cemetery stones that need cleaning or repair work on old cemetery stones, Shane Peik, has a Chilton, Wisconsin based service.

Since there is no gravestone photo, are you sure of the spelling. His son, Herman, spelled the name without the "e" but it could have been dropped.

I'm glad that you found Herman's father.

Thank you,

I was researching my late mom's relatives and found your post on her cousin Norman and his late wife. I had no idea he was buried in New Holstein. Thank you so much for your research. I only remember his wife and was in my 20's when she died.
I learned much about his father, my great grandfather Dr. J. E. Barnstein, this past year thanks to the research of the folks who created the FB page," History and Memories of Manitowoc. "

wording on marker
Rose, I have recently returned from a trip to Chilton and a visit to the St Augustine Cemetery, with Jenell Keuler, where some of my ancestors are buried.

I send a correction to Find a Grave to have the write up corrected. My great grandmother and her sister, Lizzie Finigan Ferrell, are buried there, just to the north of their parents graves. The marker is not in great shape, so Janell used a piece of chalk to bring out the lettering. The corrections were all made expect for the note part. At the very base of the grave marker is written Children of P & J Finegan ( for Patrick & Julia Finegan. Not children of P & S Finegan.
Also in the cemetery listing it should read Lizzie Finegan Ferrell. Not Lizzie Finigan Ferrell.

Thank you. I appreciate the work you have done to record the graves and grave markers.

Chuck Blatz (11366695) is the son of GlenRoy (113566669), not, as it is listed, his spouse.

First of all, a thousand thanks-- make that thousands of thanks-- for having entered so very many souls into this solemn and wonderful website.

I am writing about my first cousin once removed, a fellow I never met, and only discovered here as I build my family history at WikiTree (I'm Schneider-3994). You entered him here, but I want to point out that the place of his death doesn't agree with the text, and I assume the text is correct-- that is, he died in Manitowoc, though he was a resident of St. Nazianz.

Could you correct it? or, if you prefer, transfer management to me?
