RE: Richard J. Powers
P.S. I have Babsons in my family from Gloucester, MA. Would you like any information I've got on them?

RE: Richard J. Powers
Dear Robert
I was in the First Parish Cemetery taking lots of photos and wandered to the back, not realizing that it was a different cemetery where the Civil War Veterans were buried. Therefore, I thought that Richard J Powers was buried in the First Parish Cemetery, and didn't realize there even was a Clark's Cemetery. As his grave already is registered, I have deleted mine.

But, would you like the photo I took there? It looks like there's a newer stone than the one you photographed. Otherwise the back of the cemetery was very wild and brambly, with lots of wrecked grave markers. Let me know if you'd like the photo and I'll see if I can add it to Richard J Powers...

Kind regards
Susan

RE: Park St. Cemetery,Gloucester Mass,
This is very interesting. Thank you for sharing this. It would be considered a defunct cemetery now. She needs to be placed in the cemetery she was moved to. It is highly possible it is the same one her mother is buried in. Which appears to be Cherry Hill.

I also have a great uncle buried in Cherry Hill.

Dear Robert,

I might suggest that you research your Grandfather through 'FOLD 3'. It is a database for military servicemen records. Perhaps you can find more information here.

Most genealogy libraries have a subscription to 'FOLD 3' (referring to the 3 folds, when folding a flag). If you have a library card, you can generally access the database by logging in through your library card. It might help you find more records.

I also noticed that in the corner of ROBERT M. IRVIN's headstone, there is a number: B-2060.
Perhaps this number may help you turn up additional leads. You never know!

Good luck,

Maureen Davis

You are most welcome.

Were you able to research farther back successfully to find your Great Great Grandpa William Irvin? I hope you find more records and perhaps information about the school in Nova Scotia.

Happy researching,

Maureen Davis

Dear Robert,

As per your request, I sent you an e-mail with some records I found which may be some of your ancestors from 'Calais, Maine'.

If you haven't already found your ancestors, Hopefully this is a start.

Yours truly,
researcher,
Maureen Davis
