Bio and Links
Bio Photo Find A Grave is one of my favorite websites.

I have set up memorial pages for my Dad and my best friend Sandy. I have also created memorial pages for her dogs and mine.

I enjoy visiting cemeteries and try to stop at the ones in cities I visit in other states. My dream is to someday visit Dean Martin's resting place. I love him so much that I sponsered both his parent's memorial pages and also his daughter, Claudia.

I have now sponsored over 180 memorial pages here on Find A Grave. It is my honor to do this.

Thank you so much for sponsoring Mrs. Moy memorial. Your kindness means a lot! It was a pleasant surprise, I just noticed today. When a friend sponsors a memorial, I feel it strengthens our friendship. Thank U!

My Daddy have done it again! Surprised me with a sponsorship of my kind and sweet of you to do that.

Our grand daughter wrote his military tribute and I have been trying to add more about his personal life, but it makes me cry too much - that is why I didn't open my email yesterday, I was having an angel day cry for "Our Rose".

It is so distracting for me to try & visit others, because I stop and read all their memorials ~ and the tear filled "snot" on my keyboard slows me down! (Ha!)

My mother used to go to funerals just to "make an appearance" for the sake of "her reputation in a small town" and that would aggravate my Dad, who considered it phoney. Once I had stopped by their house and they were disagreeing about the subject because Mom wanted to go to an "important individual's service" to "make her appearance" - I offered to go with her, just to settle Dad's nerves!

Once there, & I saw the grieving family; although I did not know them, my sympathetic heart took over...tears flowed - soon others were comforting me because they thought I must be a close relative of the deceased! Mother had moved on, making her customary "social rounds" when she noticed my blubbering getting too much attention was SO funny because she hustled to my side, grabbed me by the arm, escorted me to the foyer, all the time grumbling, "I JUST can't take you ANYWHERE!"

Later (when Mother was not around) I told Dad and we had a good laugh - he flashed that impish grin and said, "That's a darned good idea - next time I won't balk at going ...when I get there, I'll stand in the corner & cry and she'll never make me go again!"

Sorry this is so long - had to tell that story! - thanks again for your thoughtfulness ~ Shirleen

Happy Belated Birthday
Hi, Renee! So nice to hear you and your husband are having a wonderful vacation in the South! Evidently, you are healthy and happy, which is good news indeed.

I have not been on Find-A-Grave in a while, so I've updated my mother's entry and added a couple of new ones. Please visit my new pets' entries since they are new and in need of tokens.

Thanks so much in advance and, as always, blessings to you and yours!
