Thanks Tom so much for the pictures of the Knerr graves. I was not aware that they had a baby that died. Appreciate your willingness to photograph the graves for me.

My father's memorial
Tom, I want to thank you for adding my father, David Noel Erie PA, to the site. This means so much to me,my dad was very big on genealogy, and researched our family every chance he got. He stressed the importance of making sure either his whole middle name or at least first intial be put on his headstone for future researchers. Again, thank you! ~Laura

Beth (Pflug) Heiney
GW Heiney again
OK, I searched a bit more on his SON, George and it seems that you might be correct on that! I found his death certificate showing both him and his father spelling the name HEINY. I will make the change! If you have any other light to shed, let me know!!

George Washington Heiney
Hey Tom! I've been scouring around trying to find another place where GW Heiney's last name is spelled as it is on his headstone. I know his wife Harriet was a Heiney, so it's possible he was a Heiny. I think there was a Jacob Heiney who changed his spelling to Heiny at some point. Perhaps this is the line?? Do you have anything besides the headstone that shows how the name was actually spelled?
