PLEASE NOTE - I will NOT process edits or transfer requests that are left in my messages. PLEASE SEND AN SAC for these requests!|
Due to a new employment situation, I do not have the opportunity to be online as often as I have in the past. I am still an active member and will address your SACs as quickly as possible, but it may not be immediate, so please bear with me! Thanks!
I'm Mandy, and I'm a happily married mother of one living in central VA. I've always loved cemeteries, and thanks to this site I've found a great reason to spend my free time there!! Any nice weekend or evening you might run into me and my lovely assistants (son and dogs) at a cemetery in the area.
Currently I am working on documenting, in its entirety, Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. It is the second largest cemetery in Virginia, behind Arlington. This may take a while! I have to give credit to the many members who have listed memorials from Blandford already: Paula, Barbara, George, and many others, but most of all Susan - you are the best!
To my knowledge, I am of no relation to the memorials I've created, except for those listed here. If you find any errors or omissions in any of them, please feel free to contact me and I will correct them expediently.
I prefer that you use the Suggest a Correction function under the "Edit" tab to request additions/changes or transfers - it makes it much easier for me to find the specific memorial that way. If you send me a request and I do not address it within a few days, please re-send! If you re-send and still get no response, go ahead and list my memorial on here, because I'm probably dead. :)

|S M||POND PHOTOS|
Hi Mandy, I just wanted to let you know that by some coincidence my friend David Wright had gone out to the Pond graves and taken photos for me to add to the memorials the very same day you did apparently! I didn't get a chance to add them right away so when I started adding them this morning I noticed you had taken some! Thank you for that and I also added David's too. I didn't know you'd be going any time soon but want to thank you and always for the family transfers (: Keep up the wonderful work, all is appreciated.

HUZZAH! The last two tweaks on auto-edit just came through for Henneman memorials in Blandford.
Pleasure working with you.
|Barry Michie||Henneman Memorials|
First, all hats off to you for your terrific work on Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg - truly a huge task you have set for yourself.
I want to thank you for the quick edits I suggested for a number of the Henneman and associated memorials in Blandord Cemetery. It is such a pleasure to find this cluster of children with their parents in the same place, get their memorials developed and linked up.
I am doing some tweaking on some of them through auto-edits, eg. Lester Wilson Henneman # 83935777, mother Alma Lena nee Tatum Henneman # 83935955 and hope they go through OK.
Now, if I can get another manager to link up one of the children in another Va. cemetery, the four full siblings will be linked to their parents.
Wishing you all the best. A lot of us appreciate your work.

Thank you, Mandy, for transferring my ancestor to me, I think he'd be pleased to be grouped with his relatives, most especially his two brothers who also died serving our country in the Civil War.

You found my Grandfather. Thanks. I've been looking for him and you made it much easier.
|S M||RE: Gaynelle Pond|
Mandy, thanks for this info. My friend in Petersburg went over to the cemetery and found the grave plots. He said the only stone there is for John Henry Pond, but no stones for Gaynelle pond or her daughter Charlotte Pond Drake who just died in 2013. You know that is so strange. If you go by there and DO find a stone will you PLEASE let me know? This is such a mystery. Thank you (:

|treebranches||Just a big ol' thank you!|
No request, just wanted to give you a really big THANKS for all your time and efforts in updating so many memorials in Blandford Cemetery.
Best regards, Lynn

Thank you Mandy for the transfer of my family member. I had someone go over to take a picture of her grave stone and sadly she has none. We have a couple of years difference in the cemetery's info posted and our family records so trying to be as correct as possible. I have a LOT to add for her. Thank you so much for this.

Do you mind if I use the pictures of Rev. William Bladen Jett and his wife Viola Gertrude on my ancestry.com page?
Thanks for what you are doing!
