|My interest in genealogy began long before I had the time to do very much with it but I started by gathering information in 1993 from my grandparents. Then my cousin took my information in 2001 and really completed the maternal side of my family tree.That left my paternal side unfinished.My great-grandmother, Bessie Spurgeon Horn, was an avid collector of family obituaries and newspaper articles. I began scanning them into my computer and slowly started making some sense out of the connections. My five children have finally flown the coop and that leaves me time to really get busy with the information I have collected. I appreciate all that people have posted on the various websites on the Internet and have begun to post as many of the obituaries and newspaper articles that my Great-grandma Bessie collected as I can. As most of them are of her cousins and their families, I have even branched out and researched those connections in order to make these valuable resources available to distant family members.Please feel free to "snatch" them from the Internet and use them in any way you want. If a higher resolution copy is needed, just email me and I will be glad to send it to you.|
Thanks...and happy hunting!
(PS If you use my photographs and belong to the Horn or Spurgeon family, I would like to hear from you and perhaps compare notes....)

Thank you so much for fulfilling my photo request. It looks like a hard one to have found. Was it laying on the ground or in a lot of brush? Do you recall the stone next to it?
|Seashell||RE: Roger Horn|
You are welcome to use the photos of Roger Horn's memorial for your family tree. No need to give me credit. Thanks

You may use my pictures in any way that you want.
I would be proud to help you that way on Ancestry.com. I have linked many of my kin to findagrave too.

Thank you so much for the headstone pictures of Mary and Rachel Spurgeon!
|Lou (Davis) Dedinsky||Christena Spurgeon|
Thank you so much for posting the photo!
I added the links for Mary. As for Phoebe, I got the dates from the cemetery book by Washington Co Historical Society. I do not understand what the difference is between the photo and the dates on the memorial. I looked at the full version and it says Jan 20, 1844. It does not give the birth date but says she was 3yrs and 5 months. Going back brings her being born in Aug 1840. If there is a number of days added on the stone I can not read it. If so let me know and I can change it. These cemetery books have been known to have some mistakes. Please never remove your photos. I enjoyed looking at them. And from the looks of that one, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to get another photo.
Are these relatives of yours?
