Bio and Links
Bio Photo Just a NOTE OF APPRECIATION to all my FAG friends who have transferred relatives or helped me in connecting family. I still have work to do, but I am a lot closer than I was.

I am the 6th g-gd of Liscom TAYLOR & John Haddock Sr. The 5th g-gd of Rhoda TAYLOR and John Haddock Jr. The 4th g-gd of John William Haddock. The 3rd g-gd of Sarah Celmentine MILLS & Nasby Hall Haddock. The g-g-gd of Sarah BUCK & Jordan T. Haddock. The g-gd of Calvin & Virgina Elizabeth NESBITT Haddock(came to Texas from Independence Co., Ark. in 1901) & the granddaughter of William David and Flora Gertrude RAINES Haddock. My parents are William Marvin and Elsie Marie PIPKIN Haddock. Grover Alton and Belva Mae FLEENOR Pipkin are my grandparents.

Other names in my family are Buck, Estep, Fleenor, Lowe, Mills, Mise, Nesbitt, Pipkin, Raines, & Yates

I am looking for these names for my husband. Barnes, Cunningham, Gipson, Hood, Little, Parker, Sanders, Smith, and Vandergriff.

I have been a member for 6 years. I wish everyone could update the information on their relatives. This is a great thing to leave the future generations. Right now I am only updating friends and relatives. I am 75. I really enjoy connecting my family.

If I see duplicates, I try to notify the last person who entered the site so they can delete according to FAG rules.

I don't mean to offend you. I have entered someone a couple of times, because in my search I did not find them. Later to find they had been entered and I had to delete them.

I live in Cohutta, Georgia. Does the name W.C. Haddock ring a bell? I found a picture of him on the wall of our church. He was the pastor in 1905-1906. Also, I found a brass name plate that says Edd (two d's) Haddock as being a charter member.

RE: In Appreciation.
I'm not related, just working on photographing the older sections of Loma Vista Memorial Park and using ancestry to find family links when possible.

I have searched for her parents information for 30 years. Her mother is said to be Mary who married William McWhirter and live in Davidson county, Tennessee. She left a will there in 1817. Mary left her estate to William Dorris the husband of Rebeca Jane Nesbitt.

Rebecca Nesbitt, b. 1784 in SC m. Died in Henry County, Tennessee, she and William Dorris married Jan 1802 in Davidson Co., TN. William Dorris was born 1775 in Hunterdon, NJ, died in 1840 in Hickman Co., TN.

Haddock Family Cemetery
This morning (06/09/2014) I went to talk to Don Henderson, who was the former Mayor of Cohutta for about 130 years. He told me that there might be a Haddock Cemetery off of Haddock Lane, a road not far from Cohutta. There are two "old timers" that he knows of that still live around here. Roy Haddock and Hugh Haddock. Both men moved away years ago to work and in the last several years have moved back to this area. The land lot mentioned in the notes are not on file at our county courthouse. However, there is a land lot, off by only one digit, that is close by. I'm going to check that out the next time I'm in the area. The cemetery is not marked and the graves are not marked so I'm on an up hill battle.

RE: Reply
Shadrach & Nellie Tester Estep are my direct ancestors (great grand parents) and are thought to be buried in the Estep Family Cemetery behind the home in front of the cemetery I used to live in! I have long suspected they were buried in the cemetery but delayed placing them on Find A Grave until I had proof. Do you have proof they are buried there? I am an Estep family researcher since the 1980s and I have never found proof of their burial there. Why did you place them in this cemetery? I took all of the original pictures and did the transcriptions of Esteps and others in this family private cemetery. Are you related to them??? Why would you not want to transfer them to a loving and caring family member that can better manager their profiles? Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Keith Estep-Johnson
