Bio and Links
Bio Photo My original research was concentrated on the Pahlke and Schwemm Families. The majority of them settled in the Barrington, Illinois area.

Other family names that I am now researching include in connection with the Schwemm and Pahlke lines are Rethmeier, Friedland and Schnetlage.

In the greater midwest area I am researching Schultz, Horton, Maish, Poland, Warren, Usilton and many more.

I also am researching ancestors in Upper Michigan. The Johnson family settled in Toivola at the turn of the 20th century. I am researching the Johnson, Keturi, Gull, Salmi, Mattila, Taskila and Lampi surnames (to only name a few!).

RE: Friedlands & Heuers
FYI, I have also added memorials and gravemarker photos for John and Evelyn Friedland and their son James.

RE: Friedlands & Heuers
My husband and I searched the section where Wm. Friedland was supposed to be and there was a lot of grass without markers, on a slope. Since there is exact plot info. on his memorial, the cemetery would have to point out the exact spot. I didn't want to report it as a problem, as there are other volunteers perhaps more familiar with Bluff City. Challenging just finding the plot markers! Glad the Heuer's are linked, thanks!

Peder Hanson and Franks
I photographed their lots. NO individual headstones for the Franks, i included the unreadable marker, so noted in 1985 Cemetery book.

Peder Hanson in the Potters field also has no headstone but I did two views of Potters field.

Sorry, I figure its better than nothing.

I do not believe there is a stone for him either, although records do not indicate that . But I photographed the stones on Potters field, and there are only a few existing today. I will look again for his also tomorrow.

Franks in New Lisbon
According to the records I found , there is an unreadable marker for Franks. Emeline, Wm and their son John E have no individual markers. I will try to figure out which unreadable marker is the Franks and photograph it tomorrow for their memorials. There is another marker nearby also said to be unreadable and the first name is Frank so I may have my work cut out for me. I will go tomorrow morning, after I have coffee...:-)

Mayme Salmi and Yalmer Johnson
Hello, Pattie--

I just now found your message from December about adding family links for Mayme and Yalmer--I am so sorry! Somehow, my e-mail decided that it would be a good idea to file all Find a Grave correspondence in an unrelated folder. My apologies for taking so long to react. I have since linked parents to the two, as you requested. I'm also prepared to transfer the memorials, if you would prefer. Please just let me know. I think I've fixed the problem with my e-mail, so your message should go through properly this time!

Once again, I do apologize for the delay.

Namida/Emily

Pattie, I photographed that whole area and did not find his stone a few years ago. But will look again just in case i missed it. Same for emeline.
I have completed the entire cemetery, but you know how sometimes you miss someone. In spring , I will go look for your three.

Grave Recorder
Elizabeth Steigerwald photo request
Hi. I will be going to Mount Olive cemetery over the next 3 or 4 weeks to take photos of my relatives grave sites and I saw you had a request. If you would call the cemetery office and get the location of his burial, I will try to get the photo request for you while I am there. Just add it to your memorial in the plot section. They are very helpful at the office. Kathy
