|Connie C.||Infant Jones Find A Grave Memorial# 80058524|
I found this memorial and it is the son of my great grandparents John Jones and Minnie Burgess Jones. In your memorial is says that Minnie is the sister of your great grandmother. I've been trying for years to find out who are the parents and siblings of Minnie, how she died and where she is buried. If you have any information that would help me with the Burgess family I would so very very much appreciate it. I am planning a trip to TN in May to put flowers on my father's grave. His name is Jessie Jones, son of Charlie, son of John and Minnie. Thank you for all the work you do. I know it takes a great deal of work and time.

I wish I found markers for your Stemme's. I am photographing this cemetery and did this section already. Section M. I looked again just in case though. There are a couple in the "Commons" areas as well. I photographed any legible markers in those sections too.
|Michealle Mayo ||Raines Family|
Greetings Cousin I am Michealle Mayo, granddaughter of Katherine Raines, she is the daughter William Green. who is the brother of your grandfather Charles Wheeler Green.
I would love to talk to you and get to know you.
My mother is Betty Raines Mayo - she passed away 2 years ago,
My aunt is Peggy Raines she passed away last year.
Of my aunts and uncles there are two boys and two girls alive, Jackie, Bobby, Linda and Kathy.
I want to thank you so much for all that you have done here on this website honoring them. I had no idea until I began my genealogy who they were.
Both of my grand parents Jack Raines and Katherine Green died in their fifties.
I did get to know my grand mother before she passed, but my grandfather, passed away when I was about 11.
Lets talk and swap stories.
Thank you for your kind words, know you and your
family are in my prayers also. Hoping all has
a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My Greenes come from North Carolina as well. What part do they come from. I've researched Greenes from all over Watauga County. So sorry about the late reply.

Found in Compiled Confed records on Fold 3...."Appears on a US List of "Rebel Deserters" (POWs ?) who took "The Oath" on Nov 28, 1863."
Thats what the FEDS said anyway!? I think he was a wounded POW myself!
