Bio and Links
Bio Photo I begin my bio with Colossians 4:6 - Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man. I believe this and strive to practice this well - so, rudeness, passive-aggressive behavior and angry attitudes are not welcome. There is no place for this in Findagrave.

I have a number of things going on so I can't do timely edits on memorials. I am willing to transfer most of the memorials that I have created since most that I have done in Mt Rose and Greenlawn Cemeteries are not kin to me - if I have entered a family member or relative of yours (no matter how distant) and you'd like me to transfer the memorial to you, please send me your Findagrave ID# and I will transfer as soon as possible. It is not about numbers with me, it's about reunited families that somehow link us all together. However, I might not be ready to transfer some memorials of my and my wife's direct lines (Burgett, Abbott, Carney, Tweedlie and some related branches).

Also, memorials are important to all of us...for that reason, I think requests for corrections should be polite - if you want something corrected, please provide the information that needs to be added or corrected - not an impersonal/curt note like 'Dates are shown in photo of marker attached to this memorial'.

I am slowly working on memorials in Mt Rose and Greenlawn cemeteries in Moundsville, WV with Marshall County Contributor. When I uploaded the names in 2009, I messed up and the dates didn't load like they should have - so I am slowly getting them filled in :)

Also, if I have placed a death certificate on a memorial that I transfer to you and you don't care for it, no problem...I'll remove the death certificate. I don't care to hear any rantings about how it's such an abomination.

Carlton aka Carl

Re: Memorial 21399239

If you click on "Click here to view all images..." you will see two copies of her death certificate which you added in back in 2009.

Unfortunately, her memorial has reached its maximum for photos and doesn't have room for a grave marker photo.

Could you delete at least one of the death certificate images?

Thank you!

RE: William T (Clark) @ Watts Cemetery
There are actually two numbers associated with the stone in question. They are 24432626 and 24432447. Both refer to the same stone. For 24432447, it shows the last name as Watts, probably because of the cemetery name. With the other one you show a possible last name of Clark. Based on what is written on the stone, "Husband of E. C. Gardner", I believe the last name for William T. should also be Gardner.

Cockayne Graves
Carl, thank you for your generosity in transferring the Cockayne graves to the Farm. I am attempting to get all the graves under one Find A Grave account which we can then link to the Cockayne Farm website. I think this would be a good source of information for people. You are kind, and thank you for all you have done. Jane Cockayne Weaver

William T (Clark) @ Watts Cemetery

I believe the William T marker at the Watts cemetery should have the last name Gardner. On the marker it states William T. was the husband of E. C. Gardner. In addition, there are a number of Gardners in the nearby Sulphur Springs Cemetary. Let me know what you think.

William C Hartin
Hey Carl,
I have William Nathaniel Hartin for the same demographics and want to know how sure you are of the C. middle initial.

Nathaniel Stuart Hartin?
Hi Carl- I have an 1850 federal census attached to my Ancestry family tree which shows "NS Hartin" living and working in Smith County, Texas that year. He is living with a "Rustin" family and there are 4 other individuals of varying surnames living there. This NS Hartin is listed as a laborer who was born about 1798 in Tennessee. I've sent this message because you have a note on NS Hartin's memorials asking for information about where he may have died. Maybe Texas? Dana

James W Alexander 37628021
Dear Carl, Not sure who this is as I didn't find him in the West Virginia death records, but he is not the father of Ralph Alexander who died in France in WWI. That James W. Alexander was born May 28 1854, and died Nov 7 1940 in Moundsville, and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Belmont County, Ohio. Ralph is buried in France but there is a cenotaph in Linwood Cemetery.

Mt Zion cemetery
Hi Carl,
I was wondering how to find out who manages or knows who is buried in this cemetery and where they are buried if there is no marker.

I found Thomas Blake stone and it is pretty new considering he died in 1920s. But as I was looking for Sarah, his wife, I uncovered in the mud the actual marker that is a flat stone with T.B. on it. It is 2 gravesites over from the new stone.

I am wondering if they covered Sarah's marker with his new stone?

Edit on Ercil Phillips
Good Morning Carl, I have sent through a request to add the birth for Ercil Phillips. New to asking for edits. The information was obtained through the Cemetery List for Robinson Ridge Cemetery in Wetzel County. Thank you for your adding Ercil Phillips to the Robinson Ridge Cemetery. I am in the Phillips Family Line.
