Any memorial page I have created I have a picture of the headstone. |
If you want a photo officially request one, don't bury your request in a spouse or another family members photo request.
Too many volunteers are now asking for other volunteers to do their research, please try and do your own on your time.
I take responsibility ONLY for the information obtained from the headstone unless otherwise specified by me. There are very few exceptions.
Due to the changes and procedures for adding addition information it is very time consuming to include the source. Find A Grave DOES NOT provide a way to show where the information comes from.
In light of these changes and the automated edit system, which makes it almost impossible to deny acceptance of changes and addition, I have been transferring all memorial pages to those wishing to make edits. This too has become too time consuming.
Therefore, in order to include the changes whether the information is CORRECT OR NOT I feel I am being forced to accept all edits. I hate this part because I have had quite a few people send edits only to resend two or three times in order to make corrections.
If you find errors send corrections but do not, I repeat DO NOT ask me about the information posted or hold me responsible for the additions. This goes against all genealogical best practices, but the only other solution would be to take down all the memorials and pictures I have posted.
If you find an error, double listing or double picture please let me know so I can correct the problem.
I have in the past used a picture of the cemetery gate/sign with "Office couldn't locate a burial for this person" imprinted on it. If you get this posting and do find a picture of you persons tombstone, let me know and I will remove it.
SHOULD YOU WISH TO MANAGE A MEMORIAL PAGE, PLEASE JUST ASK FOR A TRANSFER.

You must have an obit that I don't have as the one I have posted does not mention a Washelli cemetery burial. Until I can gather more info, he and his wife will stay where they are. Andrew is my mother's uncle - my grandfather's brother. Seattle cemetery may no longer exist, but I have found nothing to indicate which cemetery the graves were transferred to.

Thanks! Even if it is not the best picture (according to you) it is still a nice addition to the memorial. My sister will take care of getting a note on the Jean Hibbard memorial that there is no marker. Judy

Karen, could you add the photograph to this memorial: 56358744. It is his Belgium entry. But, it already mentions that there is a cenotaph at Evergreen Washtelli. Thanks.

We have a question about the picture. You have a small note in the picture that indicates that the picture is the "area" Jean is buried in. Does that mean that he has no stone or marker? If so we are going to add a comment in his bio section so stating so that we don't ask and no one else asks again for a photo of the stone. Again, thanks for your assistance and patience.

Karen, thanks for taking the time to take the photo. I assume there is not a marker. Her husband Arthur is buried there and does have a marker. Did you happen to see his?
Thank you for showing the area where she is buried and for taking the picture. Very much appreciated.
