Bio and Links
Bio Photo I feel very strongly about family and friends and am very dedicated to both. My wife and two children are my life and I would do anything for them. I believe it's not what you own in life that defines you, but how others feel about you that does.

I've worked in law enforcement for 27 years and my co-workers are like family to me as well. I have tremendous respect for those that spend their time serving and protecting others: doctors & nurses, firemen, police officers, EMS personnel, to name a few.

In the past, I've worked with teenagers in rehab. As a counselor technician working with teens, I assisted them with their day to day needs and to help them work on their problems. Sometimes they just needed someone to listen. It made me feel very good to help them re-discover the joys of life and living.

I've also worked with seniors, and the ill and infirm at a local nursing home and health care facility, tending to their dietary needs. Being a part of the food service staff was a reward in itself, working in conjunction with the various nursing staff members who ensured the patients received each of their regular meals, as well as any special dietary requirements.

My father was in the Air Force and later, the National Guard Army. My step-dad was in the Army. He was also in law enforcement. I've followed in his footsteps and believe there's no better calling than helping others.

I believe we should respect and honor those who have passed away. They are our parents, grand-parents and friends. If we loved them while they were here, why shouldn't we show our love for them after they're gone? That's why I believe Find-A-Grave is such a great place for each of us to share our loved ones with one another.

Ruby Register Gray, Memorial#: 25553040
Thought I would also post on the public message page, too. My name is Gay Choate Keilty, Member#: 46903259, and I would like to request the transfer one grave in the Vineyard Cemetery.

Ruby is my grandmother and the mother of my mother, Lorene Gray Choate. Her tombstone was made of concrete by my grandfather, Carl Gray. It originally had a wooden identification plaque, which was replaced last week with a new metal plaque with the following:

RUBY REGISTER GRAY
1904-1925
WIFE OF CARL EMERSON GRAY
MOTHER OF LORENE GRAY CHOATE
DAUGHTER OF W.A. and BESSIE REGISTER

I would appreciate if you would consider transferring Ruby’s grave to me. I have added an updated photo of the stone, along with a photo of Ruby, to the site and would like to add additional information and more photos. Have attached photo below for your information.

Thank you for your consideration,
gay choate keilty

RE: Estes' at Lankford Cem.
Mr.Estes, I found out that Alex Estes buried at Lankford Cem., Dickson Co. was Richard Alex Estes, son of William Garrett Estes & Sidney Emmerline "Emma" Lankford. She was a daughter of Moses Lankford & Catherine
Melvin a (or Melvira) Cooper. Emma was a sister of Jemima Lankford Parker, my 2nd great-grandmother. Go to the beginning of the cemetery page and you will notice that I have added the address of the cemetery. Thanks, Tim.

Estes' at Lankford Cem.
Robert, my 2nd great-grandparents were Joseph A. Parker & Jemima (some have spelled Jemina) Lankford Parker. He was the youngest child of Moses Parker & Hannah Johnson Parker (Fowlkes Cem., Dickson Co.,TN. I have been looking for their place of burial for quite a while now. It was recently brought to my attention that there is a Parker Hollow down Turkey Creek Rd. With Lankford Hollow nearby. Well, I found Lankford Cem. on a private drive on Turkey Creed Rd. last Saturday. I added the cemetery to the index. 21 unreadable stones, but there are 4 readable stones. Alex Estes Jan. 22,1878-Feb.4,1957; Elizabeth Estes Apr.19,1900-May 2,1908; Winnie Cuba Estes Oct. 20,1900-May7 1915 and Lonnie William Estes Sept.19,1922-June 5,1923. No sign of any Parker or Lankford, but I'm pretty sure they are buried there. What do you know of the Estes family buried there? Tim Parker

Jackson Cemetery
Could you tell me exactly where the Jackson Cemetery (Where so many Jackson's are buried) in Charlotte, Tennessee. I know where the Jackson Chapel Cemetery is, but can not find the one to go visit where Beulah Bell, Cornelia etc are buried. I am researching Jackson Family for my Brother in law, Robert L. (Bob)Jackson and his daughters.
Thanks.
