Bio

Forty-something, happily married to a great guy, and living "7 miles from nowhere" in Bates County, MO, a mile from the Kansas line. Two sons, the youngest is a student at University of Central Missouri. Genealogy and history are a couple of my many and varied interests. I garden, keep chickens and other poultry, and was "green" decades before it was "a thing." I was a semi-trailer mechanic (yep, a gal that didn't mind getting greasy) until my disability, and I also volunteer my time as a keyer/arbitrator (doing transcriptions) for the Ancestry World Archives Project. Those transcriptions get added to Ancestry.com to be searchable by anyone with a subscription, and many are available for free. I have an Ancestry subscription, and am trying to get all information available on there attached to each memorial I manage, as time allows. There are many resources there, and more are added all the time. I highly recommend the site.
I am happy to transfer memorials I've made to family, all you need to do is ask. If there are errors on memorials I manage, please let me know.
My first "large" project will be to completely list the Woodfin Cemetery in Walnut Township, Bates Co., MO. Between my disability and "real life," though, it's slow going. I am determined to complete Woodfin, no matter how long it takes. :-)
