I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding.
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

June Taylor Barker
I am glad to have found this grave site, but saddened to that she has passed away. Her husband is a cousin of mine through. Dougs ancestor Stephen Barker who married my great grandfather's sister Martha "Ritha" Jane Parkhill in Lamar County, Texas. Enjoyed her many lettters to me regarding her family tree and Doug's also.
I would like to find out any who are their children to correspond to.

Sara Roche
I think the comment there is correct - she died in 1839. Kinda curious that Sara's headstone has a Southern Cross of Honor symbol... so I'm thinking it's either a replacement and/or relatively recent.

Dan,
Thanks for all your good work at Findagrave.
Did you by any chance know this family?
Evelyn Burroughs Pearce was my mother although her marriage to my father was not mentioned in her obituary.

Debbie Kirkland
Sponsor
I'd like to be the sponsor for any of the graves you would be willing to transfer in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, both Blackwood Church cemeteries and the Kirkland Cemetery (aka Kirkland-Brackin Cemetery) in Henry County, Alabama. We live in the area and many, many graves in these cemeteries are related to my husbands side of the family. The Kirkland's have lived in this area since the Alabama lands opened up in the 1820's. I can add a lot of data/information to these graves.
Thank you for doing the hard work of getting the cemeteries/graves online.
Sincerely,
Debbie Kirkland

Ruth Irene White Kirkland
Ruth Irene White Kirkland (62791455) was my mother-in-law. I have suggested an edit to add her husband and would appreciate you allowing this. She was the second wife of William Henry Kirkland who is buried in the Kirkland Cemetery just up the road.
Also, I's appreciate being her sponsor (I think that is the term) for all the Kirkland's in that cemetery if you do not mind transferring them. Thanks for all your hard work.

J. M. Jay
I have left a photo of James Marion Jay whom I believe to be the same as the name listed on the tomb stone J. M. Jay. My mother is still alive and she states they are one in the same. Her family information also matches the dates on the stone. Thanks, Gwen

Atwells
Don, thank you for all the work you have done on this site. By any chance are you connected to John Atwell (1825-1880)? He was my husband's g-g-grandfather thru her daughter Martha. Would love to exchange information.
