Bio and Links
Bio Photo NOTE: As of April 2016, I've made it through surgery and chemotherapy, and have been cancer-free since August 2014. I'm very hopeful, and very appreciative of all the words of kindness and encouragement.

As of August 2014, I'm dealing with my mother's recent death and my own recent cancer diagnosis. Please be patient with any suggestions / edits you send. Thanks in advance!

[PLEASE read (starting with para. 2) before contacting me about a memorial; it will save us both time and trouble. Thanks!]

I'm a history major and a lawyer (University of Virginia, Emory University;) a fanatic about live music (Todd Rundgren, Gene Owens, the blues;) and a photographer. I'm a wife and a mother (a son who recently graduated from law school at the University of Georgia and a daughter who recently graduated from Tulane.) I have a house full of rescued dogs and cats.

If I'm the caretaker of a memorial for someone who was closer to you than to me, I'll consider transferring that memorial to you; feel free to ask, but please include DETAILS as to your relationship to the deceased.

If you have additional information or links that you want added to a memorial, please send details and DO include links to your SOURCES: I'm unlikely to make additions/links if I can't verify their accuracy

All requests for transfers, all suggestions, and all corrections MUST be sent via the edit tab on the memorial in question. If you use the "Other" option you'll be able to send an explanation of, and links to, your sources for suggested changes to a memorial.

If you need to write me at my email address about something else (e.g., a suggestion or correction I've sent you,) PLEASE include a copy of any relevant correspondence and a link to the memorial(s) in question.

If I've posted a cemetery photograph that you want to use on Ancestry, please feel free to do so IF and ONLY IF you include the entire caption as the photograph description. You MUST get my express permission to use any of my photographs OTHER than those taken in cemeteries.

Changes to Ada Scott Clark etc
Dear Ellen,

Thanks for making adjustments to move certain Clark pages over to (or merge) the correct cemetery. There is still somebody named Tera Lewis who has these redundant people listed incorrectly at Fairmount Cemetery, so the job isn't done, but I appreciate the help you have given, regardless.

Best Wishes.

Improvements to your health
Ellen, It's been some time. I'm just checking in with FAGrave friends now. I'm very happy to read that you've been free of the cancer since 2014. May your life continue in good health and happiness.

RE: I was wrong
Thanks Ellen and I hope that you are doing well also. I would not do a favor for this person either after all the insults. You run across all kinds of people on this website.

Ellen, You have requested that I remove the picture of the marriage record correction. You suggested in your message that it had served it's purpose. So I went to the memorial and see that indeed it has not served its purpose. You continue to express doubt about the middle name on the memorial.

You have not honored my request to manage my great Uncle's memorial. Even though he is not a direct ancestor he is quite close kin to me and direct descendants have not requested the management. So for now the picture should remain and it does indeed counter your comment that the middle name is uncertain.

Thanks for creating the memorial. At this point I think transferring the memorial to me would be the appropriate action. I would in fact like to have management of all of my Carlton kin that are presently under your management.

Frequently when I add information and links on a memorial people will offer the memorial to me. You seem to take delight in "owning" memorials. And controlling memorials. I would think the credit for creating the memorial would be enough.

Maggie Rail
When I first moved back to Spokane, I volunteered to help Maggie transcribe cemetery records into excell spreadsheets.

I got busy and quit, but I enjoyed Maggie. She was a wealth of knowledge.
