I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding.
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

Don - wow! Technology is incredible! I am doing some research to find out unknown information on my mother's family and I found this photo. I am about 95% this is her brother - the info I am trying to seek is - are there any other Nichols around this one - if so, what are their names? I found the other one you posted (47430212) - if there are, could you please share with me? Thank you so much!!

Thanks for all you do for findagrave.com. I keep seeing your name as I do geneology for my father's family on ancestry.com. Today I came across an Atwell who is the husband of my first cousin 1x removed--Alto Lee Atwell. My name is Nan Mundy and I live in Alaska. I can be reached at nanmundy@gci.net. Take care.

Thanks for your wonderful work on Find A Grave!

I was wondering if you could please provide a clearer picture (readable) of Rev J J White's headstone. He is my great-grandfather and I need it for my DAR application.

This assistance will save me a trip from North Carolina. Thank you. Please let me know?????

Sincerely,
Katrina Gaffney

Joseph Davidson
Hi Don,
I am researching Joseph David Davidson. He was my ggg grandfather. I have confirmed the lineage thru census records, Find A Grave and other sources. I am at a roadblock with JD Davidson and cannot go back further. The family story goes that he was a full Native American who moved from AR to AL and changed his name. No knowledge of what he changed his name from. My grandfather Louis Jethro Teal was going to tell the info but he passed before that happened. The info from Find A Grave states his parents were Daniel Thomas and Mariah Davidson but I cannot find any info about them. Census records from different years state his parents were from AL another from NC. So there is conflicting info out there. Theses records are all linked from the confirmed spouses and children listed in them. If you have any info to further enlighten this process, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Teresa Huff
Hi Don,

Teresa Huff was the first friend I made when I moved here to Alabama back in 2010. We hit it off right away and our friendship grew from there. We thought of each other as family, and I am still struggling to deal with her loss.

It was standing room only at her funeral service. She was a very special lady to a lot of people and we are all still in shock at her sudden and unexpected passing.

Thank you for making her memorial, and thank you for transferring it to my care. And please let me know if I can ever be of assistance to you.
