DOD Correction
Kathleen, I've submitted an edit request to correct Robert E Lee Jr's date of death through the Edit tab. Here is the link to the death certificate to help facilitate the correction.

Thank you for the lovely memorial to my cousin.

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Frederick Nicholls Crouch
Professor Crouch did not author "Kathleen Mavourneen" during the Civil War. He authored it in 1838 in England. By the time the Civil War started, it was already world famous and would then be cherished by the North as well as the South.

In the movie "Gettysburg," when the song is sung by an out of sight tenor, General Armistead remenisces that at the start of the war he and other Army officers gathered with their wives in California and that song was played.

RE: Aunt Betty Felton
Of Course I remember now. The last name was what I needed to remember. I probably still have some of the Christmas cards with pictures with my mom's things. Good to hear from you.

I did go to school with Kathy Murray. I remember her always smiling like the picture I posted on her memorial page. Not really sure what happened, but she is one of many that have died to soon.

Abigail Adams Smith in First Unitarian Church
The memorial created for her in the church, should be in Hancock Cemetery, which is the name of the cemetery across the road.
