Back in 1958 Peggy was part of The Our Lady of the Angels School fire here in Chicago, IL. She died in the fire. There were 92 children and 3 nuns who passed away. That day, I was in kindergarten at a public school in the town of Western Springs, Il. Peggy was 10 years old in the fifth grade. When I came home that afternoon my mother was crying. All she said was "Those poor children! Those poor, poor, children!" At that point I started to have a dream that was a continual reoccurring nightmare. It started while I was still in kindergarten and lasted all the way through the middle of my sophomore year in high school. The dream was continues. Long story short, years later I discovered that the dream I was having matched what happened to the boys in the fire! At the very end of every dream was a little face looking at me before I woke up. I discovered in 2008 that the face belonged to little Margaret Anne "Peggy" Sansonetti. It is the photo in the stripped dress with the crucifix around her neck. I continually pray for her every single day and shall continue do so through the end of my life! Peggy, I feel, brings out the goodness, kindness, and love in all people! May she never ever be forgotten. I feel that with my help she will always be remembered and prayed for! May God Bless you and your families, always! |

Thank you for sending the Blessings. I hadn't been on find a Grave for quite a while. Thank you for the notes and for telling me about the Our Lady of the Angels memorial. My teacher was the Uncle of Mary Ellen Moretti . I also went to a Catholic school very similar to OLA . That same year my sister was seriously burned. I remember leaving school at a quarter to three and thinking I must pray for someone and knew it was urgent. When I got home I found the fire on T.V. I then knew who I was praying for , the children trapped in that fire. My sister had already been in the hospital for 6 months. Her accident happened at home . She survived and came home several months later. May you and your family be blessed also.

Been thinking of our dear Guardian Angel today. I had her 3rd grade photo on my work desktop recently. A colleague asked about her and it opened up the story of OLA. Any opportunity that I have to spread the message of OLA, I do so. If this story saves even one life............Peggy, Valerie, Beverly, Ronald, Rosalie, Mark, pray for us!

You're very welcome! It was an Honor
to visit your Precious Angel.
Hugs and Many Blessings,
Hello Mr Gibbons,
Since we last messaged each other, I have been doing a little researching of the OLA fire. I have come across many online photos and stories. It is truly terrible of some of the things I have learned. It makes me stop and think of all we take for granted.I also noticed the wonderful work that you do. I only wish I lived near to go to an event.( I live in Syracuse NY)I am becoming a sort of history buff in my old age. Sounds like you have made a great impression ! Keep up the good work Dear, We can never learn too much!
Best wishes to you always!
