Barker family
Just wondered if you are related to the Barkers. There are several folks buried in the Wells Cemetery that I don't know of any connection they have to the Wells family. Just wondered if you might know. Also, if they are relatives I would be happy to transfer them to you.

McGee Cemetery
Thank you very much for your work on McGee Cemetery.
I haven't been there since the 1980's. There is much more to it than I remember. (I live 850 +/- miles from it.)
My first visit was when I was 6 for the burial of my great grandmother "Bennie" Buckley McGee.

Grandmother had more children than the three listed with her page. Is the list limited to those buried in this cemetery?

Re: Gus Ray in Greenwood Cemetery
Thank you for your suggestion on Gus/Angus Ray's name. I wondered about this when I saw the grave. It looks as if someone manually scraped in the letter N before the name Angus, but there is no A. Possibly a family member was attempting a correction... Not really sure. I think I will change it to Angus since that's what the record states. Thanks!

nancy canty
well guess what? after i messaged you, i got a message from a descendant of nancy candy. seems that last year she and her husband erected a marker for nancy on top of the unmarked slab. i had no idea of that when input the photo request. she sent me a photo of it and i have asked her for permission to post it on the find a grave memorial i set up. i still hope to get a copy of the page in the cemetery book (i have the contact info for the library) and the information on the authors of it as i would like to clarify the information on her parents. not your problem. thanks for all your help in straightening out the confusion on the marker. also, thanks for the work you do in photographing headstones. so many of us have to do our research on line and it is such a tremendous gift when others such as yourself take photos of our relatives headstones.

Sorry I dont have a second wife for him.
He could have had one since Elizabeth died 30 years or more before he did.

Elizabeth Carpenter Long
Elizabeth was one of the daughters of Albert Jefferson Peterson. Her name was Elizabeth Alberta Peterson. Her first husband was Arthur Hopkins Carpenter. Her second husband was James Barkley Long. Her children were: Ulric, Easton, Bettie Pippen Carpenter and Azalee Peterson Carpenter. All were children of the first marriage. Bettie married James Dudley Watson and Azalee married John Edgar Pippen. They are buried in Friendship Cemetery in Columbus, Mississippi.

Just thought someone might be interested in what happened to all of them.
