Dear Ancestor

Your tombstone stands among the rest,
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone.

It reaches out to all who care,
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist.
You died and I was born.

Yet each of us are cells of you,
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse,
Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled,
So many years ago.
Spreads out among the ones you left,
Who would have loved you so.

I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew.
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Kelly's at Greta
We visited Greta Cemetery recently and have a grave photo for Ellen and Dan Kelly. If you would like to reduce the number of photos on their memorials (currently at the "free" limit of 5), I'm happy to upload the grave photo.

This is a personal question but I don't know how to leave you a personal message........

Your Find A Grave photo has intrigued me from the beginning, knowing that I know the face, but who????

This morning it came to me. James Barton, husband of Anna James whom I have in my genealogy line.
I looked them up and sure enough.

Now, the question.....are you related to them? If so, we have a bit of a blood connection!

I'd like to invite you to be a contributing member of my genealogy web site....if you care to be.
You can log on to it at and request membership. That way, we can share info and/or you could browse and make updates and/or corrections!!

Lewis A DuVall
I noticed that you have listed as foster children, Junia and Virginia for Lewis and Ella DuVall.
This is an error. Junia was a daughter of John Lawson and Eva DuVall. Eva and Ella were twins.

Lewis and Ella had a stillborn child only. Eva had 12 children. Virginia was Junia's child out of wedlock and she went to live with her aunt Ella and Uncle Lewis. The tongue in cheek story was, "Aunt Ella adored children so much and she never had any of her own, so she welcomed them into her home for a time". Eventually, Junia in turn inherited Lewis' property. Junia was a sister of my father, Herbert DuVall.
Thanks, Joe

Memorial# 67256729 Charity Frazey Eichelberger
Dear Sir:

I found this biography and there was a link to her 2nd husband Jacob Tanner (which is maintained by someone else).

May I ask where you came by the information for the children of Jacob and Charity? Since it is included in the biography, there are no links included to their burials.

I just try to verify information before I include it in my research. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I am also a contributor (very small) and I know how much work goes into creating these entries. This is a wonderful site and you contribution is greatly appreciated.
