Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in the history of my ancestors & my husband's ancestors for many years and have visited many of their graves over the years. I enjoy doing research on family members as well as others. It makes me realize how short life really is and how we should leave a positive footprint here. But most of all, how important it is to be prepared to pass from his life in a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

I also love my town of Kirksville, Missouri, and enjoy studying its history and the people who made its history. I feel privileged to be a member of the board called Friends of Forest-Llewelln Cemetery in Kirksville, and also a board member of the Adair County, Missouri, Historical Society.

Any photos that I have taken and post on this site are free to anyone. You have my permission to copy them for personal use or post to Ancestry.com or any other ancestral sites you wish as long as it is out of respect for the person represented. I hope you find some of your relatives!

I am happy to make any additions or corrections to memorials; just use the Edit tab and I will make the changes as soon as possible.

RE: Sections of Forest-Llewellyn
Thanks for getting back to me. I have a copy of the Forest Llewellyn Cemetery book printed in 1976 and a copy of the cemetery map but I am sure a lot of visitors to the cemetery might be a little confused if they get the info. from memorials on Find A Grave. Since only the Forest and Llewellyn Additions have sections shouldn't the sections at least be listed seperately from the F for Forest and the L for Llewellyn? Example: F-A-25. The Forest-Llewellyn cemetery books Index, that is alpahbitized, has the different additions spelled out followed by the section then the lot number. Abbreviations just don't seem to work very well when it comes to plot locations. I've even come across a few contributors who don't like using them at all even in the bio. area. Just a thought as how to make it easier for others looking for a grave in this very old and large cemetery.

James Reed
James Reed's tombstone should be in the area of the picture I uploaded. However, when I searched the area on September 11, 2014, I could not find it.

RE: Joseph Harvey Bonham...
Thanks for your reply. Sorry for taking so long to respond. I am very glad to hear you are just as interested in the Bonham/Park side of the family as I am and I've loved seeing so many pictures of my ancestors I never had the chance to meet. My Mom always considered them her favorite aunt and uncle. I love the picture you posted with both children. I've never seen Robert but vaguely remember a mention of him. The story of Joe Bonham's early life (on his mother's page) is heart breaking, considering that in every picture he is seen smiling and enjoying life to the fullest. He must have been an amazing man.

Joseph Harvey Bonham...
... was my great uncle by marriage through the Park/Godbey side. I noticed you added a photo to Joseph's page. Thanks! I did not know about Robert. Recently I had another site member inquire about my photo in a rather blunt way. Not sure if the two events are related, but if it's a problem that my photo is there, I can remove it. I'm fast learning that some here are a bit possessive of their "people" and info. If I am mistaken, my apologies. I'm just a bit confused and relatively new to the site.

RE: Albert Y. King and Sarah Ann Wilson
Thank you, Blytha, for your timely response. No, I have not received any info from you other than where Albert and his wife were buried. I sent you an email but maybe it went into spam. According to the death certificate, what is Albert's birth date? Yes, I would appreciate so much knowing Albert's grandparents names and dates, etc. Would you allow me to be a "guest" to view Albert's family on your family tree on ancestry.com? I am not a member. Thank you so much.

Albert Y. King and Sarah Ann Wilson
Hello Blytha,

Albert Young King and Sarah Ann Wilson are gg grandparents of my husband. I am trying to find the names of Albert's parents. Would they be on his death certificate? It has been so interesting to read the bio's and look at the pictures of Theo and Ann Carson Wilson (ggg grandparents of my husband). Thank you so much.

RE: Maude May (Ellis) Hartford
In some late night sleuthing last night I found Edgar's 3rd marriage was to Mina Redd on 5/23/1900 in Dekalb County, Missouri.

I'm 99.9% sure that the 6 year old Thomas in 1900 is really 16 year old Thomas Jefferson Ellis. If you enlarge the census you can barely make out a 1 in front of the 6, the census also shows he was born in Dec of 1883.

I am related to them through Edgar's 2nd wife Mary Jane Childers.
