Sorry for the slow response. I was in a region of the country that didn't have good connectivity so I didn't bother to check Find A Grave until I returned home.
Yes, you definitely may use the photo.

It's not my photo to give permission. Click on it to find a link. A few more photos are there, too. I guess you give credit to the website. Hope this helps.
Or, I just found the same photo of him in a public domain book! Click on '+' a few times to enlarge the photo. Right click to download it.
I like your FB page!

Yes you can use any of the pictures that you would like. Sorry for the late reply.
|Headstone Genealogist||Mount Royal Cemetery Photo Request|
Mount Royal Cemetery has 165 acres. The burial plot location must be supplied so a volunteer can go take the photo.
You can get this free information by filling the form here: www.mountroyalcem.com/index.php/en/our-services/genealogy-menu.html and in the "Desired Service" field, select "Burial Location (free)" and enter the information.
If the Genealogy page was not helpful then email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
The cemetery will email you the location (3-10 working days).
Have the memorial updated with the plot number.
You will have made it possible for the photo to be taken.

You may use any of the photos that I posted.
Just took a look at your headstone photo request. I have never heard of this cemetery before today and, unfortunately, I do not believe we could possibly locate Mr. Abell. If you wish to take a look at this cemetery's history, here is a link from Find a Grave (http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GScid=2524432&GRid=122306482&CRid=2524432&) that gives a rather shocking history of this particular cemetery. In my opinion, it is shameful and disgraceful what happened to this cemetery and if you read the second from final paragraph you will see that there are no headstones here, although many of the occupants are still here, covered by a development at the Country Club and a multi-story retirement community next to an Applebees. After reading the well-documented history, you may possibly consider withdrawing your request. I did check the nearby Mountain View Cemetery roster with all 3 spellings (Able Abel, and Abell) and find nothing matching. Sorry I could not fulfill your request for a photo myself. Eileen

John, there is no marker. I looked very hard for a marker for him, he may have one--it isn't visible. Therefore I took a photo of the grass showing where I belohs marker to be.
Call Greenwood Cemetery if you wish and explain to them you would like to know if Alonzo Atkins has a marker. They might be able too tell you. Sue

Hi John, I'm wondering why the photo request for him when he already has a photo. I took it.. Sue

You are welcome to use the photos I've taken of any colored troops graves in Spokane cemeteries on your USCT page on FB. I appreciate you asking. There was a unit of Buffalo soldiers who served at Ft. George Wright after the Civil War. My friend, Craig Manson, has written about it on his blog at http://geneablogie.blogspot.com/2007/06/walter-scott-of-spokane-washington.html.
