I live in Stillwater, OK.
I love doing research on Payne County, Oklahoma and surrounding counties.
Due to the death of DonZas, I am managing the memorials in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater that he posted. I will be keeping all of the memorials that are in my family tree. And, believe me, there are alot of them.
However, if you wish for me to transfer a memorial to you, send EACH request through the "EDIT" - "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" Link on EACH person's memorial. Please allow time, because I get alot of requests each day.
REMEMBER the Find-A-Grave RULE states:
Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Uncle, Aunts, Cousins, nephews, mother's brother's first cousins, well, these don't count as a direct relative. And, yes, this part is included in the rules.
E-mail me if you have a question or if you have a request that I haven't already uploaded.
I have 2 books called "Cimarron Family Legends" vol 1 and 2. These books contain information that has been compiled by families that settled all around Stillwater and the surrounding towns of the Cimarron River in Payne County. I can look up information on families if you will send me the family name and any other information that I can use. Just e-mail me with the request.
Also, I have photographed and transcribed Ripley Oak Park Cemetery and Mt. Hope Cemetery near Ripley, OK. I don't transfer these memorials, but I will add the information and links if you ask me.

I knew a Pat Blankenship back in the 70's that went to U of M Rolla in chemical engineering. Is this her?

Hi, Pammy I came across the Memorial for Howard Lee Johnston and it gives his birth date as Oct. 1, 1877 according to his World War 1 and World War ll draft registrations his birth date is actually 22 Sep 1877 and he was born in Kingsville, Johnson, Missouri.
He also married Sylvia Grace Mathers on 09 Mar 1898 in Taylor county Iowa. If you would like to add that information.
I know how difficult it is to manage all of these records but I thought I would provide you the information if you would like to update the information for Howard Lee Johnston, Find A Grave Memorial# 10970927, when you get a chance.
Thank you for all of your hard work

I will get out to the cemetery this weekend. I waited for the cemetery office to open so I could check if there was a stone, initially, anyway. This section is one of the oldest in the cemetery so I want to warn you that sometimes the stones are no longer there. It is so windy today that I did not want to hit the cemetery--it is always worse there. Thank you for understanding. Cheryl Henry

Thought you might not know this
Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.
Sorry, yes, Oklahoma in Fairlawn Cemetery. Nathan and Nancy Daugherty are my husband's 2g4 grandparents

|Delores Robertson||Jacob Kughn- Osage Cemetery|
Hello, I am doing some research on my Mother-in-law's family and I have a question. On the find-a-grave memorial for Jacob L Kughn in the Osage cemetery (my mother in law's grandfather) you have that he was married to Elizabeth Six and his parents were Jonathon & Sara Kughn. I found the marriage source between Jacob and Elizabeth but I also found a death notice for a Jacob L Kughn age 84 with a spouse Elizabeth Sax and parents Jonathon & Sara. Now, I am wondering if these folks are the correct first wife and parents of the Jacob that died in 1930. Can you please verify that I am on the right track by tracking down Jonathon & Sara as his parents? Thank you.
|Linda Fraley||George Harold Davis|
Hi Pammy, I'm contacting you to see if you know more about the Davis family. My paternal grandmother was Vivian Frankie Davis, the sister of George Harold Davis. Their mother was Mary Effie Crawford b 1881 who must have married a Davis but I'll be darned if I can find a record of him. George was the youngest of three Davis children born to Mary Effie. Effie remarried in 1909 to Thomas Harvey Richardson. The Davis children thereafter appear in Sayre, Oklahoma. The Richardson family has a good data base on Ancestry and even pictures of Mary Effie but no knowledge of the Davis father. On the backs of some studio pictures my father Louis H Fraley has given me which depict his mother and her younger brother Virgil, is the penciled in "Mrs LA Davis"... I cannot find LA Davis .George Harold was raised chiefly by his grandmother Frankie Keziah Crawford and appears in her household when he was 4 and 14. He was known as Harry or Harold. He was elected a State Representative but died within a month of taking office, I think of a streptococcal infection.
Thanks for all the work you do, I was able to find Mary Effie's grave on Find-a Grave a few years ago and it lead to a lot more information. Linda L Fraley, MD.
|Bill Herrman||Mispelling of Zachariah Clary|
In response to your message stating: "I have replied to you several times. ty"
Please view my message board. I have no other replies from you. The only other reply I have from you is dated June 15th asking for proof. After that message, I provided at lease 5 valid references proving that the name Zachariah is misspelled.
Please review the following and make the needed corrections or let me know otherwise.
All 7 of the Ancestry.com Member Trees have it spelled Zachariah. A public member story on Ancestry.com written by Clarence William Clary in 1970 has Zachariah. The 1880 census has Zachariah. The 1870 census has a nickname Gac(?). The 1860 census has Zacariah which I'm thinking was a misspelling by the census taker. A 580 page well documented book "Clary Genealogy" by Ralph & Star Rowland written in 1982 has Zachariah. I have a copy of the book. The 1840 Illinois marriage record to Harriet Wagoner shows the spelling Zachariah. The name appears in the Bible as a prophet and is spelled Zachariah.
