Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE use the EDIT to ask for transfers, with your ID # and the PHOTO REQUEST if you want a photo of the stone for EACH person listed. I try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, but if they are already listed it is nice if you also request them. I print off the requests from the computer, and the "notes" don't show if you ask for other family members. You have my permission to use my photos of the stones for your family records.

It is my wish that everyone is remembered, this is my way of helping make it happen. We all will make mistakes, I'm happy to make changes and transfer loved ones always hoping that you can add to their memorials. I just want to help, when I find more information and send an edit, it is sad when that isn't added. I am so thankful for the ones that put family of ours on, some we had no idea where were, so you can see what a blessing Find A Grave has been.

Today this seems to be the case- Author Unknown
An old man, a boy and a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey and the old man walked. As they went along the road they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame the old man is walking and the boy is riding." The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right, so they changed positions. Later they passed some people who remarked, "What a shame, he makes that little boy walk." So they then decided they'd both walk. Soon they passed some more people who remarked, "They're really stupid to walk when they have a donkey to ride." So they both rode the donkey. Now they passed some people who shamed them by saying, "How awful to put such a load on a poor donkey?" The boy and man figured they were probably right, so they decided to carry the donkey. As they crossed the bridge, they lost their grip on the donkey and he fell into the river and drowned. The moral to the story? If you try to please everybody, you might as well kiss your ass goodbye!

Having expressed this I have to say, most all of the people are easy to please. There are occasionally some who aren't, it is extremely hard to read people's minds. If you send information try to tell us how you want it added or used. It is really helpful if you send it directly to that persons memorial page, but I'll do my best to add & give credit to you however you get it to me. Thank you all who have sent links and info to make memorials more then just names and dates!

Grace Weir
Thanks so much!
If you'd like to transfer her, I'd be happy to take it. She's not a close relative though. Her mother, Emma, was my 2gr-grandaunt. I did leave edit suggestions for Mr. & Mrs. W.T. Weir, but still need to follow up on those.

Grace Weir parents
I just suggested an edit for Grace Weir (#78633534). Her parents were William and Emma Weir and I have notes from my great-grandfather giving their death dates that match the W.T. Weir and Mrs. W.T. Weir buried in the same cemetery as she is. If you don't think that is enough to attach them, I understand. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply (and the chuckle). I, too, am delighted with links listing children, and also appreciate that if managers sort of overlook their Edits, the default is to accept those Edits. Absentee managers CAN go back in and directly change the edits, and can find them by scrolling carefully among their "Accepted Edits", but it is a lot easier to actually manage the memorials with an eye to that Edit blank.
It has been a difficulty when cemeteries get merged and inadvertent duplicates are shown to have been created.
Best wishes!

That was kind of you to make those credits. Incidentally, her mother had been adopted and the manager put in hyperlinks to the adoptive parents. I have GOT to learn how to do those hyperlinks!!!
Thanks again--it is a pleasure to work alongside volunteers like you.
