There are some of us who are, and there are some of us who aren't - drawn to cemeteries that is. Even as a child this avid curiosity presented itself when I played in the country churchyard/cemetery with cousins while visiting grandparents in NC. Peering at gravestones, noting inscriptions - even then my interest was piqued.|
Now as I have aged, it is even more so. We know there was a life; we know there was a family; we know there were trials and tribulations and, we pause to wonder. What did this person look like? What were the times like when they breathed and walked this good earth we live on? One can only imagine! It seems the same childhood curiosity remains to this day. So my friends, it is my pleasure to gather pictures and data for this FAG website.
If in my quests, I have recorded someone's data incorrectly, please contact me. I will welcome any corrections and make any changes for you. In that vein, if I have submitted a FAG record for a person whose site you care to maintain, please request a transfer and I will gladly comply.
Happy hunting and may your quests be fruitful!

Sorry photo is still not great, but I will be returning there and will try to get a clearer one. Joy

Just wanted to let you know I submitted an edit to his date of death. He is my g-g-grandfather and his estate was probated in May 1907, so he was deceased by this date. Probate info is available on Ancestry. Also, Almira is a widow on the 1910 census.

Are you aware that you can edit the memorial from the auto edit tab found on the memorial page? You can submit the edits from there. Thank You.

Hi I appreciate your bringing this mistake to my attention. I went back to the copy of the d/c on ancestry.com, and I had indeed made a typo. I try to not make mistakes but it does happen. Will be happy to transfer. I try to connect family any chance I get,it doesn't matter to me how close or how far apart the connection may be.

Thanks for the info on Almira. It clarified that she was a Sawyer ;-)
I have posted the basics on her memorial. If there is more that you wish to add or clarify please let me know.
I also checked and found no memorial for William so I created and transferred his memorial to you. I just entered the basic info. You can expand his bio info and add the links to Almira & Wms. children if you wish.
Happy New Year

On every memorial on the left side below the "burial" or cemetery info and above the "Created by"
there is a "Edit Virtual Cemetery Info" link.
Click on that link and then the "edit my virtual cemeteries" then click on "add new" and provide it with a name like Jones direct line, maternal family or maternal direct line.
You can make them private or public.
