I have been working on my family tree since June of 1992; it's a never ending hobby that's for sure. I'm thankful that my father's parents didn't really throw anything away. It not only helped me have furniture in my house when I first moved out on my own, but I've also managed to gather quite a bit of ancestorial information from the old letters I've found. I am recently married (Feb 4 2006) to a great guy from the state of Arkansas. I tease him, saying that I had to find a husband over 250 miles from my home town so that I wouldn't be marrying a cousin. But as it turns out, I have his last name in my family tree too: Long. We are all related though, through Adam & Eve =)|
Feel free to leave pictures or flowers on any of my memorials. But whatever you do, DON'T leave RED flowers on my Aunt Margie's memorial! She hated red
If you want to trace my line of Capps, you could start with my dad Bobby Wayne Capps and follow the family links back in time.
My husband's parents: Ray Otis Long and Kathryn DL Small Long

John Samuel Perkins was my great great grandfather. His daughter, Nora, was my great grandmother. I was curious as to how you, if it was you, came about the information on his commitment to the state hospital. I had always wondered why he was sent there and never knew until I read this notation. Thank you in advance.
All the best, Sara
So, do you think this is Charles and Minnie and Alice Belle or do you think the grandchildren you are in contact with would know? I don't want to leave the picture on there if it's not them. All it says on the back is Charley and wife. Thank you so much for your help.Sue
Ok I posted the picture on Charles Hampton # 23658147
I just realized we are talking about different Charles Hampton. The one you are talking about is the son of the Charles that I am talking about. I am talking about the one married to Minnie Busick. I am going to go ahead and put the picture on there and see what you think. Thanks, Sue
Hi, Sarah, thank you for answering me. I will post the picture on Charley's memorial and delete it if you say it's not him. I will have to go find it and scan it so it will be a little bit. Thank you so much. Sue
Hi, Sarah, you have a lot of information on Charles Hampton's memorial. I was wondering if you might have known someone in his family. The reason I ask is I have a picture that was in my great grandmother's pictures. On the back of the picture it says Charley and wife (also a little girl is in the picture.) My great grandmother was Charles' half sister. I would like to find someone who could tell me if the picture is of Charles and his wife and daughter. Thanks, Sue

I have been researching about 1995. I have collected alot of info like you over the years. I will see what I have.

Nice to hear from a cousin!Do you know who Sarah Evans Casey father and mother are. I know John Evans was her father and I believe her mother may have been Margaret Whitten. The Whitten is my speculation. There are two Hill families in our research, Drucilla Hill family Henry Hill and Alice Ridgely and then there is Henry Truman Hill and Elizabeth Bruntz family. I think Henry Truman Hill is a Uncle to Drucilla Hill have to check my files.

Thank you for the information. I have bits and pieces of that (the tenn. or NC roots, moving to Missouri and military service. I know others who have researched (from Permelia Ann Crowder Teel line) and they've never figured out more. Permelia Ann's grand-daughter Mary Isa Teel was an early genealogist and we have most of her original documents that survived and there's no further mention of Nelson's past. I do have quite a bit of information on the Teel family going forward and back from that point, however.

Do you know anything about nelson crowder's adoption?
