RE: Bertha Smith
Hello Kimberly,
How exciting! Yes I am related to Bertha Mathews. She is my great aunt. Her brother was LeRoy Mathews, my grandfather. I would love to receive those poems. It would mean a lot to myself and the other members of my family. We would truly treasure them. What a kind gesture that your friend is making, and you also for helping her out.
Per the 1892 Census, I show that Bertha is living with her family in Seattle the 3rd ward. What was your grandparents name? I could look them up on the census and see if they were next to Bertha. It sure is a small world!
I will give you my address if you want to send them through the mail. I don't want to put it in public view so I could send it via your email. Is that the correct email on you profile?.
Thank you again for doing this and please thank your friend for thinking of Bertha's family.

thank you !

RE: Virgil and Janice Feist
Hi Kimberly. If you are on Facebook you can reach just about all of Virgil and Janice's kids. The married names for the girls are Caroline Reynolds, Lisa Knoll, Laurie Henshaw, Geri Foti. Gerald is also listed but I don't think Marvin is. You can reach him thru Laurie. I don't think Don is listed.

RE: Doyle Memorial 152871465
Thank you. I requested the photo for Mary, deleted the message from the other cemetery and added your remarks about the burial location.
That's it for tonight. Time for a Hallmark movie.
Another exciting Saturday night. Ha!

Thank you. I just made the changes and requests photos of James Doyle and his wife. I have already posted the obits. Anything else you post would be most welcome. I really appreciate this.
Marge.

RE: Doyle Memorial 152871465
Hi. Thank you for your note.
James Benjamin Doyle died May 3, 1965 Memorial Number 152871465. His wife, Mary Elizabeth Wyles Doyle died March 30, 1952 Memorial Number 152871524. Since they both died in Edmonds and the obits indicated Evergreen cemetery I assumed they were buried in Everett, Washington. I requested photos but the find a grave volunteer indicates that the cemetery has no record.
When you get a chance if you could check the Evergreen cemetery in Seattle and let me know if they are buried there. I will than edit my pages and re-request the photos.

Thank you very much.

Marge

RE: Memorial #87161869
Kimberly - Hello. No, sorry, I'm not related at all. I just photographed all of the spaces there when I went to shoot a F-a-G request.

I tried doing some research on them out of curiosity, and came up with little detail. The only thing I found was the obit for his father, Howard, in 1960, but no mention of his burial, and just that Ruth survived him. Lived at 5048 N Marine Dr., Chicago, which runs parallel to Lake Shore Drive (Google Maps & Google Earth give a picture of the building).

I also found the index listing for William's sister Barbara Huck in the Chicago Tribune, supposed to be in 16 July 1996 edition (died 12 July), but I can't access it for any detail about the family.

I found a listing in the Cook County Death Index of a Ruth E Watrous died 14 Feb 1979 in Cook County, lived in Glen Ellyn (with William and Cynthia? Then admitted to one of the large hospital complexes in Chicago?). The record is available for purchase from Cook County. No listing of an obit, though.

I could find absolutely nothing on a sister Gertrude.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. If you turn up anything on Ruth, I'd be really curious to know, and also where they were buried.

RE: June Campbell
I'm sorry that I can't help you. The photo on her memorial more than likely came from the pix that was with her obituary. I hope I gave reference in her bio, if not, let me know where she lived when she passed, and I can try and research the source.

RE: John Marion Thomas
I agree I don't rely on those that post on Ancestry. Many there are just clicking on leaves and using that information. However, I have found good starting points from post there. I had joined GenealogyBank but find it gives the same information that newspapers.com gives which I am a member from a while back.
I do thank you fro you information. I will stay in touch. Thanks you for connecting me as a friend too.
take care for now,
Candy Kvidahl
