|David Shipley||RE: Aunt Mildred Passed|
Thank you so much for letting me know about Aunt Mildred. She passed on her sister's birthday--my grandmother Ruth Beverly (Shears) Green. The second I saw your message I called my mom, and she had too just already been informed by her sister Diane.
My mom Barbara reflected on all of the wonderful recipes Aunt Mildred sent her all the time (my mom made many of them which I tasted growing up) and her sweet letters to my Mom. I also remember how much my grandmother talked about her when I was growing up.
I hope she will be richly memorialized here on Find A Grave soon too.

Your note about the dance hall was quite a surprise! I'm figuring if you know what happened to Charles then we must be related somehow. My lineage goes Zita Butler (mother), Olive Williams Butler (gr mother), Henrietta Sharit Williams (great gr mother).
I'd love to know how/if we're related.

I'm not sure if you heard that Mildred's sister Beverly (my grandmother) passed away.
Here is a link to her profile:
Please let her family know if you are still in contact with them.
Is Mildred still living?

You have requested a photo of his final resting place. However, I have checked the records for Bethel Cemetery in Knoxville, TN and do not find him listed in their records. I spoke with the curator of the museum and cemetery. This cemetery is also known as the Knoxville Confederate Cemetery. No Union soldiers are supposed to be buried there.
I have checked under the last name, first and middle name. I have also checked under the info you furnished in the Memorial "Florida, G Comdpany, 6th Infantry. There just is no record for him.
You can go to www.mabryhazen.com and click on Cemetery. There is a listing alphabetically by last name by state. You are certainly welcome to go there and check for yourself.
Sorry I could not help you with a picture. If you want me to do something else on this please do not hesitate to let me know.
