Bio Photo I am interested in genealogy (Baker & Griffin families from Massachusetts, Outland & Riddick from Virginia/North Carolina). I have resided mostly in Connecticut since 1956. I went to college in Northfield, Vermont and spent 19 months in northern Germany in the US Army. I worked as a programmer/data analyst supporting investment systems in New York and Connecticut.

Thank you for letting me know that I had goofed, and didn't even notice.

As if that wasn't bad enough, I had the father and the mother reversed---but that's also been fixed.

Also if you would, you could add his mother, Lucy's maiden name of "Watts" to her entry.

Thanks again!!!

Ralston & Adelaide Harrel GGNC
Hi Charles,

I've posted a photo of Ralston & Adelaide's headstones. If the headstones are correct, then Harrel is the correct spelling of their name. Take a look. - Theresa

RE: Dudley Brown
Thank you! My notes on that page indicate that this stone was seen in the immediate vicinity of Lot #76 (Rogers), near the Mulberry St. fence.

Harrel or Harrell?
Hi Charles,

I'm not sure if the correct spelling of Adelaide and Ralston's last name is Harrell or Harrel, as I too have seen it spelled both ways, now that you've brought it to my attention. The California Death Index lists both Adelaide and Ralston's last name as Harrell; the VA lists Adelaide as Harrell and Ralston as Harrel; and the Ancestry.com funeral home record spelled his name Harrell and written above Harrell was Harrel. His father's name on the form was spelled (John) Harrell, but his wife's name was spelled (Adelaide) Harrel. I guess I'll have to go take a look at the headstone to see how the name is spelled, but that's not always proof... I'll visit the cemetery at the end of the month and get back to you with my findings.
